He didn't throw Milton under the bus; he basically said you need to get the ball in the endzone.
Of course not, he sold out lock, stock, and barrel on Milton. It's a credit to Hooker and Bailey they both stuck around. Not a doubt in my mind Bailey is a much better QB even in this offense than was Milton at the outset. Hooker clearly was, Heupel has to hide Bailey to keep it from being so obvious IMO.

One of the knocks on Milton is that he is scared to get hit. I wasn't sold on that, but that last play changed my mind.
He ran out of bounds with no time left. It wasn't close. I still can't believe I saw him just give up like that. Whoever has the ball last HAS to leave it all on the field trying to get to that end zone.
I'm just stunned he did that. What are your thoughts? Not as big a deal as I'm feeling now?
I don't feel confident in him going forward.
Absolutely no situational awareness, he has a cannon but that's it!One of the knocks on Milton is that he is scared to get hit. I wasn't sold on that, but that last play changed my mind.

What happened is he threw a good pass to Tillman who didn't have enough gas to jump up for it, so the next play it was a pass or run option. The field opened up in front of him and he ran. His mistake was, when he saw the defense collapse on him, he ran out "hoping" there would be enough time left for one more try.... there was no more time left, and he should have went for the endzone because he was the biggest kid on the field. So, it was a mistake, and a lot of people are pretty upset over that decision to run out of bounds with no more time left. He was put in an almost impossible spot, after tillman missed the previous play in the endzone.

Realistically we expected not to play Milton who’s not even MAC level as a QBAgreed, people are complaining for no reason other than they are upset about the loss. If most people would take a step back and realize the amount of talent we are playing with at the moment is the bottom 3-4 in the conference. The fact that we even had a chance to win late speaks volumes about this coaching staff compared to the previous two. Our oline that we put out there for the game was MAC level, I am not sure what some of y'all realistically expected.
