Nearly two dozen alleged members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua “barricaded themselves” inside a Texas U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility and threatened to take hostages and harm ICE officers on April 23, according to officials.

The 23 alleged gang members at the Bluebonnet Detention Facility kicked off a standoff that lasted “several hours,” ICE Dallas Acting Field Office Director Joshua Johnson said, according to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) press release. They used bed cots to block doorways, covered surveillance cameras, obstructed windows and attempted to flood the housing unit by clogging toilets, the ICE official alleged. The detainees allegedly refused to comply with orders from ICE personnel to end the uprising.

“23 TdA members barricaded themselves in the Bluebonnet Detention Facility, threatened to take hostages, and endangered officers. Keeping these foreign terrorists in ICE facilities poses a serious threat to ICE officers, staff, and other detainees,” Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. “The media repeated these TdA gang members’ false sob stories, but the truth is these are members of a foreign terrorist organization that rape, maim, and murder for sport.”

The incident comes after detainees at the same facility were spotted by drone footage allegedly spelling out “SOS” in the prison yard, according to the New York Post. Some detainees were also reportedly seen displaying a banner that read “Help, we want to be deported. We are not terrorists. SOS.”

‘Does Not Pass Muster’: Supreme Court Keeps Block On Trump Deportations Under Alien Enemies Act​

The Supreme Court maintained a block preventing the Trump administration from deporting alleged Venezuelan gang members under the Alien Enemies Act (AEA).

In a 7-2 decision, the court affirmed its earlier order issued in a late-night April ruling blocking deportations under the AEA, finding the Fifth Circuit “erred in dismissing the detainees’ appeal for lack of jurisdiction.”

“Under these circumstances, notice roughly 24 hours before removal, devoid of information about how to exercise due process rights to contest that removal, surely does not pass muster,” the majority wrote.

“But it is not optimal for this Court, far removed from the circumstances on the ground, to determine in the first instance the precise process necessary to satisfy the Constitution in this case,” the opinion continues. “We remand the case to the Fifth Circuit for that purpose.”

Justice Samuel Alito, in a dissent joined by Justice Clarence Thomas, argued the Supreme Court did not have jurisdiction to consider the matter and that the record did not support issuing relief to an entire class.

Read the opinion, it’s a chicken-shizz opinion. They didn’t rule on the use of the AEA or whether these people are subject to it. The only thing they ruled on was that they weren’t afforded enough time but didn’t have the balls to even give guidance on time.

But in no way should Trump follow the POS’ example like Lincoln and FDR in suspending HC.

Disney World suspends dozens of migrant workers after Supreme Court rules on Trump's deportation order​

Disney World has placed dozens of Venezuelan employees on unpaid leave after a court ruling allowed the Trump administration to strip legal protections from 350,000 migrants.

An estimated 45 employees at the Florida park were notified on Tuesday that they had been placed on unpaid leave as a direct result of a Supreme Court order allowing Trump to revoke Temporary Protected Status for a huge cohort of Venezuelans.

These employees were warned that their jobs would be terminated next month if they could not secure a new work authorization, Bloomberg reported.

the judicial branch is rotten to the core! Look at this, Judge Hannah Dugan, charged with helping an illegal immigrant dodge the feds, gets Judge Lynn Adelman for her trial. Adelman’s a Democrat who’s been slammed for bashing Trump and conservatives, even ignoring Supreme Court rulings to push his agenda. This isn’t justice; it’s a circus!
