Hyrum Baquedano-Rodriguez, an illegally present Honduran national, was nabbed by ICE agents after local authorities dropped his charges

An illegally present Honduran national was nabbed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents after they said local authorities dropped a series of his charges, which included child abduction and home invasion.

Agents with ICE in Washington, D.C., arrested Hyrum Baquedano-Rodriguez, 26, in Fairfax, Virginia, on May 2, officials said in a news release.

Officials said his charges include abduction of a person with intent to defile and burglary, entering a house to murder, rape, etc.

"Every one of his convictions represents another one of our neighbors that Baquedano-Rodriguez has victimized. ICE Washington D.C. will continue to prioritize public safety by arresting and removing criminal alien offenders from our Washington, D.C. and Virginia communities," Hott said.

ICE officials said Baquedano-Rodriguez was first arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents on Aug. 25, 2018, after he illegally entered the United States near Yuma, Arizona.

Excruciating moment Democrat mayor tries to break in to New Jersey jail housing migrants to 'free them'

A New Jersey mayor has tried to get inside a jail he believed was illegally housing migrants to 'free them' as the Trump Administration continues to round up illegals.

Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, 55, said he was tipped off by a security worker that the Delaney Hall Detention Center was housing migrants for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Freedom News reported.

'They wouldn't let us in yesterday, so we're here today,' he told reporters outside the jail on Tuesday. 'We're going to get in today.

'It doesn't matter who's inside, I think they may have detainees in there. They're not supposed to be there... ICE doesn't have a long-term lease with these folks, so the jail is completely responsible for hiding behind ICE right now.'

Alleged Sex Trafficker Arrested in Nashville Area Now Detained by ICE

Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) on Wednesday announced the arrest of Angel Javier Diaz-Carvajal for running a sex trafficking operation in Antioch, Tennessee, who allegedly made online advertisements for prostitution, and was busted by undercover officers with the department’s Specialized Investigations Division.

Despite initially being allowed to secure pretrial release with a $185,000 bond, records made public by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office confirm that Diaz-Carvajal is not eligible for release due to a detainer requested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

According to ICE, its detainers are requests for local law enforcement to hold an illegal immigrant for up to 48 hours, pending their transfer to the federal agency.

According to MNPD, Diaz-Carvajal (pictured above) was contacted by an undercover detective through a phone number placed in an online advertisement. He ultimately agreed to meet the detective, alongside a sex trafficking victim, at an Antioch motel.

Illegal Aliens No Longer Able to Fly Without ‘REAL ID’ — Except to Self-Deport

Beginning on May 7, illegal aliens can no longer fly without a “REAL ID,” according to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Noem. The exception to the new flight identification standard is for those who are self-deporting.

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents began enforcing the REAL ID Act at airports across the United States on Wednesday. Congress passed the REAL ID Act about 20 years ago following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In a REAL ID ad posted on social media by DHS Secretary Noem, she reported, “Illegal aliens should not be allowed to fly in the U.S. UNLESS SELF DEPORTING.”

Dem Congress members storm New Jersey ICE prison to conduct 'oversight visit': 'People deserve dignity'

ICE's Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey, is currently holding alleged killers, MS-13 gang members, child rapists and more

Three members of Congress stormed through the gates of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in New Jersey on Friday, demanding they be allowed to conduct an "oversight visit."

Reps. Rob Menendez Jr., Bonnie Watson Coleman and LaMonica McIver, all New Jersey Democrats, entered ICE's Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark and were held up inside the first checkpoint, Department of Homeland Security spokesperson DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin told Fox News.

"These members of Congress storming into a detention facility goes beyond bizarre political stunt and puts the safety of our law enforcement agents and the detainees at risk," a DHS statement to Fox News said. "Members of Congress are not above the law and cannot illegally break into detention facilities. Had these members requested a tour, we would have facilitated a tour of the facility. This is an evolving situation."

The prison currently holds alleged killers, MS-13 gang members, child rapists, among other criminal offenders.

The lawmakers were outside the facility with a group of protesters when the gates opened to allow an ICE bus in. The lawmakers then rushed through the gates and past security, DHS said.

Press Wail Over 'Undocumented Grandmother' Facing Deportation, Then the Rest of the Story Comes Out

You'd think the press would have learned something from the whole "Maryland dad" fiasco, but if journalists have the ability to do anything, it's ignore their mistakes and rush headlong into new ones.

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Times published a headline claiming that an "undocumented grandmother" was now facing deportation because she made a "wrong turn." The intent was clear: To make it seem as if ICE was viciously hunting down innocent people for minor errors in roadway navigation.

To set the tone, here's the opening line of the article.

A 64-year-old grandmother in the U.S. without documentation is facing deportation after she mistakenly took the wrong exit on her way home from work.

I shouldn't have to explain this to L.A. Times reporters, but "in the U.S. without documentation" is just a really tortured, inefficient way of saying "illegal immigrant." This grandmother was an illegal immigrant, and with that clarification out of the way, let's get to the real story here.

So we have a person who has been flouting American immigration laws for two decades, apparently never even attempting to rectify the situation. She then flouted motor vehicle laws by operating a car without a license, putting others in danger. That, too, had likely been taking place for decades with no attempt to rectify the situation. For context, California lets illegal immigrants obtain driver's licenses, and what do you think the chances are that she bothered to have insurance?

This "undocumented grandmother" then drove onto a military base, one of the few places in the country where federal authorities have the legal right to demand identification at any time. When she couldn't provide any, because again, she had been flouting the law for two decades, she was detained and turned over to ICE.

Now, that sounds just a little bit different than "undocumented grandma facing deportation for wrong turn," doesn't it?

This I dont understand really. Who does this Congressman think he REPRESENTS? Last I checked, his job is to represent Americans, not people in and of other countries.

ICE Expands use of Ankle Monitors, aiming to Track more than 4.5M Migrants Roaming Streets

Most migrants walking into ICE offices for check-ins are now leaving with ankle monitors or other tracking devices as the Trump administration aims to keep better tabs on the up to 4.5 million likely to be deported, sources told The Post.

The migrants — who crossed the border illegally and used to appear for their regular appointments with ICE once a year while going through the US court system — have been turning up less and less for their scheduled check-ins, fearing the administration’s mass deportation agenda, sources said.

“There’s a new sheriff in town, and we’re not doing things that were being done over the last four years — the agency wants accountability,” a source said.

1746844208894.png
The migrants required to report to their local ICE offices do not have deportation orders yet but are expected to get the boot for various reasons. They are still expected in immigration court as their cases wind through the system.

The check-ins are there to ensure they’re showing up to immigration court and not committing crimes.

With the new tracking push, ICE will move to send out its agents quickly to try to arrest anyone who cuts off their ankle monitor and potentially charge them with a crime, which wasn’t the case under the Biden administration, sources said.

If this Congress woman would have shut up & listen to LEO she would understand.
But she has to talk back in a rude way & probably says you don't touch me & I am a Congress person. She was part of what's being called an insurrection by Democrats now.

Disgusting way Baby Used in Attack against ICE agents in woke city

A furious anti-ICE protestor flung her baby out of the way to kick and shove agents in shocking scenes as deportation demonstrations gripped a small Massachusetts town.

The drama unfolded Thursday morning in Worcester, where a large crowd descended on an ICE operation detaining a separate woman with an infant.

Two people were arrested as the demonstration escalated, and footage showed dozens of people surrounding a car with the woman inside to try and stop it from leaving.

The Worcester Police Department said it was called to assist the ICE agents as they were set upon by the mob, and cops said 'several people were putting their hands on federal agents' when they arrived.

One of those arrested was a woman who was seen holding a baby in front of the car to block its path, and handed the infant to another protestor so she could kick the ICE vehicle.

The protestor, who has not been identified, is facing four charges including endangerment of a child. Another woman, named as Ashley Spring, 38, was also arrested for throwing an 'unknown liquid' at officers, authorities said.

Spring is facing several charges including assault and battery on a police officer after allegedly also shoving officers as the demonstration turned violent.

City leaders quickly took the side of the protestors after the episode, with City Manager Eric Batista saying his 'heart goes out to all those impacted by today's events and the growing tension we all feel due to the national political climate.'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — More than 100 people have been taken into custody by federal immigration officials in a joint operation with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, leaving many in Nashville’s immigrant community uncertain and worried.

“None of us have ever seen anything like this,” Lisa Sherman Luna, executive director of the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition said Friday.

The operation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is a reminder of how local and state law enforcement jurisdictions are critical to President Donald Trump’s plans for mass deportations. Last week, Florida officials touted a joint operation with ICE that resulted in 1,120 immigration arrests.

The Highway Patrol said Friday that it made 588 stops in the joint operation with ICE, which took custody of 103 under investigation for immigration violations.

The stops “led to the recovery of illegal drugs and firearms — taking dangerous elements off the street and making Tennessee safer,” the Highway Patrol said. One person was wanted in a killing in El Salvador.

Tennessee’s Gov. Bill Lee recently signed a law creating a division of immigration enforcement with the state’s Department of Safety and Homeland Security, which includes the Highway Patrol. He is one of a number of Republican officials pledging to use state resources to carry out Trump’s plans.

Meanwhile, city officials in the Democratic stronghold of Nashville have disavowed involvement and been critical of the arrests. Nashville Law Director Wally Dietz said the state-federal operation, which began May 3, caught everyone in city government by surprise.

Responding to concerns about Nashville police presence outside an ICE office, Dietz said Wednesday that the city “routinely receives requests for extra patrols for a variety of reasons and responds to the extent resources are available.” He said he didn’t know who was detained and that, when he requested more information from the Highway Patrol, he was told to file a public records request.

The Highway Patrol said stops are based solely on driver behavior. “We do not enter neighborhoods or stop vehicles based on who someone is — we stop based on what they do behind the wheel,” it said.

But immigrant rights supporters contend that the patrols have focused on parts of the city where the majority of residents are people of color.

“All signs point to this being racial profiling intended to terrorize the heart of the immigrant and refugee community,” Sherman Luna said. “What we’ve heard is that THP is flagging people down for things like a broken taillight or tinted windows.”

Sherman Luna believes some of those being detained would be allowed to stay in the country if they were able to receive competent legal representation at an immigration hearing. Instead, she has heard that people are agreeing to be deported out of fear that they could spend months or years in immigration detention.

About 9% of the Nashville metropolitan area population of about 2 million are immigrants, with many from Mexico and Honduras, according to the Migration Policy Institute’s analysis of census data. The city also has a large Kurdish population living alongside refugees from Sudan, Myanmar and other countries.

“It’s a strategy to strike fear into our vibrant, diverse, beautiful neighborhoods,” Sherman Luna said.
