Just six Democrats joined House Republicans this week to prevent President Joe Biden from turning federal lands into migrant camps for tens of thousands of illegal aliens who have been released into the United States interior.

On Thursday, the House passed Rep. Nicole Malliotakis’s legislation known as the “Protecting our Communities from Failure to Secure the Border Act” to block the federal government from using federal lands to house illegal aliens in a 224-203 vote.

Joining House Republicans to pass the legislation were Reps. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), Don Davis (D-NC), Jared Golden (D-ME), Vicente Gonzalez Jr. (D-TX), Mary Peltola (D-AK), and Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA).

Malliotakis had introduced the legislation just as New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) got approval from the Biden administration to move hundreds, and potentially thousands, of border crossers and illegal aliens onto Floyd Bennett Field.

“Turning our federal parks into encampments for unvetted migrants from all over the world is unfair to surrounding communities and the taxpayers who are being forced to foot the bill while our Mayor bankrupts our city and slashes services from our citizens,” Malliotakis said in a statement.

Dept. of VA Under Fire for Treating Illegal Aliens While Ignoring Care for Veterans​

The Department of Veterans Affairs is taking heat for putting the care of illegal migrants first over the needs of those who fought for the United States.

Russ Duerstine, executive director of Concerned Veterans for America and a veteran of the United States Air Force, told Fox News Digital he is concerned much-needed care for veterans will be forfeited and instead given to migrants.

The Department of Veterans Affairs and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reportedly have an agreement to process claims for illegal migrant medical care.

Duerstine explained that the VA had had an internal agreement with the Health Service Corps (IHSC) since 2002 to provide processing. The organization noted that it is not the VA’s responsibility to offer or pay for healthcare.

Several years ago I looked into the VA for some of my father's care. He was AF retired and flew fighters in Europe in WW2 and was a radar controller on the ground in Korean during that war. Because he wasn't wounded and didn't have service connected disability, his priority level was so low that there was absolutely no way he'd even make it into the system. My wife and I are both vets, and VA care is simply not an option - the system is far too "small" to address the needs of veterans much less illegal aliens. The people responsible for this should fry.

Doctors have described a constellation of birth defects, including conjoined toes and bent feet, as consequences of expectant mothers using fentanyl while pregnant.

The Delaware-based pediatricians have identified 10 babies with the defects in their state, as well as in California, Boston, and Rhode Island believed to be suffering from fetal fentanyl syndrome.

Their report is the first to uncover a link between the deadly street drug fentanyl currently tearing its way across the country and these birth defects, possibly due to the fact that patients often withhold their history of drug use.

In addition to causing conjoined digits and bent ‘rocker bottom feet’ – named for the way bent feet resemble the legs of a rocking chair – fetal fentanyl syndrome can lead to cleft palate, an unusually small head, and neurological and behavioral issues lasting into adolescence.


Researchers in Delaware were first to uncover a link between these birth defects and maternal use of fentanyl. It's possible children born with these defects may have been misdiagnosed as having a genetic condition with some of the same symptoms called Smith Lemli Opitz syndrome
