It was to get the votes of the progressives. They needed the votes to have Democrats in name occupy the White House, but it came at giving into the ideology of the progressives. The progressives used the Democrats as the trojan horse because seeing Bernie and even Ralph Nader fail needed to merge into one until after the elections. The old guard democrat is over in 2024.

Biden may have been right about a party not being around in a few years except like amost everything he touches it's wrong. It possibly looks like either the progressives and the old guard democrats will fight it out and one will be gone before the end of the decade.

The old guard democrat is 60+ years of age, they won’t be around much longer or have enough influence to revive the party.

Silly peep are always tryna blame Biden for high prices of gasoline, caterwauling from the lower regions about this or that, blah, blah, blah. The President of the United States does not decide oil production. We do not have a centrally planned economy, like the old Soviet Union. The reality is that oil companies lower the number of drilling rigs and producing wells when prices go low, and they increase drilling and production when prices are high. It is the law of supply and demand. Right now, prices are high, and the number of drilling rigs at work just went up 58%.

"Oil producers in the U.S. are taking advantage of the rising price of crude, which settled $2.67 higher on Friday at $108.50, adding 275 rigs in the past year, nearly 58 percent more than the 475 operating at this time last year. The rig count declined slightly this week, falling by three one week after increasing by 12, according to oil field services firm Baker Hughes."

U.S. adds 8 billion barrels of recoverable oil as global estimates fall, analysis shows

Biden attacked the oil companies in the primaries…. Attacked them when he first became president…. Still attacking them now…. Whether it is all his fault or not…. He has to own it.

Why would they add more rigs if they’re making record profits and price gouging?

Holy hypothetical hit-piece Batman … let’s just go ahead and blow this all up by saying that there’s no way in hell Biden can beat anyone the Republicans put up in 2024 .
Latest polls say he can’t even beat Trump in a rematch but dear sweet lil 8 lb baby Jesus let’s not test that theory 🙏
