Michigan giving South Carolina our signs

I have never been so happy to sell my tickets. I was offered way too much money to keep the tickets. We spent the evening out in Columbia watching fans cheer everywhere. We left the bar at half-time and called it. Nasty to even think back on.

A to Z sports has an article about Michigan giving the game chickens our signs. Yes, the defense was on Quaaludes, but man, S.C. was strangely perfect that night. Just a thought. God knows Beamer was open to such shenanigans.
Meat Chicken gave the Game Chickens our signs. Still waiting for Michigan to be stripped of their fake Natty.

I think even if they did steal our signs we were probably gonna get crushed anyway. Our defense just looked completely disinterested that night. Stolen signs wouldn’t explain away all the busted coverages and outright lack of effort shown that night.

If Beamer really did steal the signs, then he needs to be punished accordingly. But the idea we solely lost due to that possibility is, quite frankly, just cope. If we showed any effort that night on defense we’d have, at the very least, not lost by 25 points.
Busted coverages , could happen from the offense having the perfect play to counter our call just saying. I mean the defense having A busted coverage every play is mind bogglin. Where theirs smoke theirs fire

Let’s just say for the sake of argument that SC did have our signs. Why could r Heupel adjust? It was like our staff had no idea what to do while SC ran roughshod over us.

Very likely that the allegations are true. The question is: what should the punishment be? If this a greater transgression than what Bruce Pearl did? Of course it is. So, Beamer should be issued a 3-year show cause penalty at a minimum.

Why would you say it’s highly likely they are true?

Do a little research. Stalions purchased tickets to two ut games on the opposite side of the field in the line of site of our signalers, and transferred them to an accomplice. Rattler had the game of his life, qbr 80 points above his average for the year. Stalions admitted to having a network of aign stealers at other universities. These are the facts. What would your conclusion be?

Say it again for those in the back.

That sc game also had lockerroom drama from Jeremy banks
Every team has drama, even if not made public. That doesn’t translate into giving up 63 points to a team that scored 1 TD at a bad Florida defense and only averaged 21ppg in the 7 SEC games outside of the Tennessee game. Outside of that game vs South Carolina, Florida had given up an average of 32ppg in 7 SEC games. No amount of locker room drama could make that Tennessee vs South Carolina game make sense.

There were major problems in our locker room prior to that game. Also it’s possible that SC just put it together for two games. That happens. If, and it’s a BIG if, they did have our signs, why didn’t Heupel and the staff adjust? You mean to tell me that our staff couldn’t make some tweaks to the plays when they noticed SC was dominating?

Our defense was bad in 2022. I think Vol fans need to accept that that SC game was a perfect storm of our locker room troubles and SC having a great game.

They apparently got Clemson’s signs too if you buy into this theory, and while SC won, they didn’t put up a thousand points and a million yards like they did against us. It’s weak to blame Michigan for that loss.
SC scored 9 straight TDs vs Tennessee. I’ve watched football for 60 years and have never seen that before.

Clemson lost the game vs SC as much as SC won it. They fumbled 2 kick returns, 1 that gave SC a TD & the other that sealed the game. The two games were apples & oranges.

I’ll never believe their Tenn game was legit.

I agree, our coaches should have figured out what was going on and changed up. Maybe they did, but once Hooker got hurt it didn’t much matter.

Our D gave up 21 passing td’s all year, and 6 of those were to Rattler in this game. I find it easier to believe that he knew what coverage we were in, than the alternative which is he magically became the best qb in the history of college football for 1 game.

We may never know the truth, but there is a lot of smoke.

Nah, going into three years since, someone from USCe would have said something by now. Something like that is not going to stay underground if true.

Just like Fulmer admitted after the Jack Sells thing that we also had Florida’s playbook.

Don’t think these coaches do not know with high probability what play is going to be run for given situations. That’s why the Jimmy and Joe’s matter so much. Also, that’s why we sometimes see two three clouds of dusts and outs consecutively. They are setting the D up for a specific play.

So forth and so on.

But the conspiracy theory is that it was due to stealing signs. Why didn’t Clemson give up 60 if stealing signs is the entire reason it happened?

Maybe Clemson figured it out and changed their signs!

Or maybe They didn’t have clemsons signs and just beat them. As I remember that Clemson team was not great. We smoked them in a bowl game.
