He is like everyone at that level of government that has been there for more than 1 term. He has had his lobotomy, he has garnered support and power and he is an egocentric slimeball bent on "serving" until he dies. Everything they do at that point is self serving. Getting re-elected is self serving. If he were truly interested in 'doing what is in the best interests of the country', why has he continued to "serve" during a catastrophic illness instead of acknowledging that he is ill and unable to give the country the full attention that it deserves, and handing the baton to someone more capable? He's not one of the good guys? Not a "Patriot"? Doesn't love America and Jesus?

Right. Sure.
Why is it that when the Grim Reaper is knocking at someone's door they all of a sudden become eligible for sainthood? I'm sorry that the man is gonna die, but don't try to make him out to be one of the good guys.
Some of you need help. The man is dying and has probably done more for his country than most of you put together. Just because he doesn’t support your dear leader doesn’t make him a bad person.
He has earned substantial respect and admiration for what he went thru in Vietnam. I have never said anything to the contrary about that. That alone doesn't give him a pass for being what he was in the senate.Ahhh, but aren't you *all* about honoring the vets, or does that only extend to debates about burning flags and kneeling for the anthem?

Oh, and burning the flag doesn't hurt me one bit Clyde. Kneeling for the anthem doesn't hurt me one bit either. It hurts the sponsors though when people turn off the TV.
Nice try though.
Meh. I have made my peace with it. I don't GAS about the NFL anymore so they can do what they want. I really don't care. Ehen enough people feel that way, the sponsors will care, and that is what gets attention.Bro, I've debated with you for years on those subjects.
You definitely referenced honoring the vets when discussing it.
