Shrout will be the best QB in 2021...qbs practice, have playbooks, etc.. stop playing with us. why would they trot someone who doesnt know the plays and hasnt had reps out there?
nah, they fooled YOU with a simple read rpo and you thought he had arrived. then, as ive stated....DCs figured he cant read defenses....and in the toilet with turds he went
He requested the move to WR to specifically get more playing time and be on special teams. Our team is depleted all over, Jimmy Hollidy will be on the field regardless..That was Pruitt's ****** team and offense. Heupel seems like he will know what to do with what he's got.
He does decide pretty quickly to throw to the other teamIt's certainly a blank slate. But Bailey is going to be right there.
What Brian has on him is speed and quicker decision making. But the accuracy of Bailey goes a long way. Hooker will play.
What about Salter tho? This kid might surprise everyone.
ITS WIDE OPEN....
Yeah I don't necessarily mean full time I posted in another thread that I could see him in some sub-packages maybe as a wildcat... but I don't know if JH used that type of formation at UCF. I'm just confused as to why he was never used in a jet sweep play. Let's not forget that this is a QB converted to WR so he is still developing (it's rough using this word pertaining to the old coaching staff). He didn't necessarily display a great set of hands on the fake punt vs Florida. I know that's one play and I am rooting for him to go off next year. We underutilized a lot of the freshman class especially at WR.I don't think he will move back to QB.
He's certainly not Kaden Salter as a QB. We still have Bailey who is a freshman. Maurer who is a sophomore and Hooker with a good amount of production from the ACC as a Sophomore.
Meanwhile we need more bodies at WR. And he will regularly be in the rotation in Heupels offense. He needs the ball in his hands with all that speed,
Haters are just ridiculous sometimes. He does decide pretty quickly to throw to the other team
I know. Thank Goodness we had Jarrett Gaurantano lighting up the scoreboard right??He does decide pretty quickly to throw to the other team
You mean the one that had a 50% completion rate in that game? He had a decent first half.Yet only one of the four threw for 280 yards and 2 tds against Georgia as a true freshmen in his 1st collegiate start...
Bailey 4 tds 2 ints. Yeah, that's real equalHaters are just ridiculous sometimes.
5 ints:
1 vs UF (hit DWA in the numbers)
1 vs UGA (his fault)
2 vs Miss St (1 his fault, 1 immediately AFTER a concussion)
1 vs Alabama (literally handed to the DB)
Instead of regurgitating stat lines, why not look at the nature of said ints? If you’re going to do that to him then it’s only fair to count Baileys the same way. Truth is Bailey had nearly caught him in ints within 20 passes.
I’m not going to argue with you because HB is a Vol too and I’m not trying to compare at the expense of putting either of them down. They both have upside and I stand my my previous evaluation of them both. Don’t count Maurer out. That could very easily leave you disappointed.Bailey 4 tds 2 ints. Yeah, that's real equal
Funny that he had offers from Ohio st. , and Texas a&m.... But I will take your word for it mighty keyboard warrior. You mean the one that had a 50% completion rate in that game? He had a decent first half.
Second half? Sacked 3 times, intercepted once, fumbled once (resulting in a TD), ran for negative yardage... I think he was allowed to pass a half dozen times, had one good drive that resulted in a sack & fumble returned for a TD. He is a liability at the position until he adds another 10-15 lbs in the weight room. Truthfully he will probably never be a SEC caliber QB. The only reason we know his name is because Pruitt royally f'd up the QB recruiting his first two years.
