Is obviously our #1 RB with Neal and Smith sharing the 2 spot. I'm off the Poole train...for now. Tauren can be the best back this year but I didnt see a Travis Stephens like effort from him tonight.

So wait, you just demoted Poole to our number 4 back cause he rushed 24 times for 98 yards.

Listen, I am critical of his performance and think at worst him and Lane should split the carries, but your overreacting a bit.

If you expect everyone to play like Travis Stephens, then you must be in a constant state of disappointment.

I thought both were one of the highlights of the game.. the O line was not and these 2 live and die off of blocks

Until the kid's played a full season, you punch the midsection with 28, then you go with the haymaker with #4. Lane's also gonna be doing punt returns so you don't want to kill him.

The O line couldn't get Smith into the endzone from 1 yard out. Poole's moves on the 20+ yard run to the 1 were nothing short of awesome. Him not getting 150 yards is all on the line.

Poole was right at 100 yards and 4 yards a carry. His YPC was higher than Lane. Everyone is spouting off about how Lane is the answer and the numbers just don't show it. The OLine has some issues. Was it just me or was Bullard getting blown up all game long?

Lol that was the backups.

But the run earlier when Poole got stuffed 1 yard out wasnt.

Poole is still your starter. O-line was not working assignments nor using sound technique tonight for Poole. They were exposed quite a bit, unfortunately. I had high hopes that this o-line was further along than what we saw tonight.

Lane, though, has amazing vision and instincts when looking for space when cutting with the ball. This was all very evident in his high school highlights and scrimmages to date -- luckily for us it all translated onto the big stage as well.

That was the 2nd string o-line that couldn't get Smith into the endzone. Those were all second string offensive players. Poole had a terrible first half and the safety was bad, but he really turned it on at the end and had a decent game.

OL has not improved 1 bit.... Bullard seems like a place holder and 71 (will not name him) had like 12 false starts ! Why.... no crowd noise, was he afraid of getting beaten by a LB from 6 yards deep ????

The O line was absolutely pathetic at run blocking. But Poole had one great run out of 24. Push.

Obviously from watching the game you can not lay sole blame for our lack of a runnig game on Poole. Our O-Line was pretty bad by anyone's standard. Poole got the most out of his runs for the most part. I will say it agian, if our run blocking doesn't improve it will be a repeat of last year (6-6). That's real talk!!!!

I agree Lane looked like the better player tonight. Poole had trouble holding onto the ball and running up Hopson olinrs back and continues to be soft and going down on the first hit. Very impressed with Lane.

Lane didn't get as many carries and his ypc was 4 until he had that 1 yrd rd run. Plus lane returned punts and caught a td pass. Overall rd 1 to Lane.
