He's old and wasn't even a coordinator last year, was he? It's Butch going with a Michigan connection comfort hire. It's nice when you know people you hire--but that shouldn't be a top priority. I mean, you hire a talented guy whom you don't know--and after 2 months you do know him!

Only way Coach Z stays is if he's offered co-coordinator.

HC at CMU or OC at TN is a step up for him.

Hiring Debord sounds like a slap in the face.

Interesting that he's interviewing for the CMU job...so either he knows hes not going to get the OC job or wants to make people think he's leaving for another job to "force" a decision....hmmm

He's a pro style coach so if fit is what jones is looking for then that's not it. We need a spread scheme guy.

That's the problem with Bajakian and most guys that have their eyes on NFL. They are the guys that don't recruit or don't like it.
DeBord has had too many years in NFL. I doubt his recruiting skills are spectacular.
