Okay, let me try it this way, Jesus never encountered anyone without requesting that they change something in their lives.
He wasn‘t a cosmic Mister Rogers just smiling and telling everyone that they were fine just the way they were.
He said „take up your cross and follow me“. That is usually interpreted to mean, put your own plans and worldview to death and follow my path for your life.
And frankly I don’t know why you keep bringing up gay people. They are not in some special category of sin bucket. Jesus would view homosexuality just the same as he would gluttony or covetousness. We are all sinners; myself included. Injustice happen to not be tempted by the particular of homosexuality; i am drawn to plenty of things that carry the same weight with God.
And a true Christian doesn‘t „hate“ gays. They just hope for their repentance just the same as I have to repent daily of my vices.
I myself really work at trying to hate no one (I am still not quite there with Lane Kiffin; but I’m working on it)
And I do not hate you despite the rude way I often speak to you; which is not right and something that I am having to repent of myself. And i apologize to you for that glaring fault in my character
Jesus still has love & mercy on this pastor
but not for the deeds that were done.
You poor soul whose trying to hold on to your own reasonings.Let me, guess, you attend an SBC church don't you?

Yeah, you guys leave that to your pastors.
I guess you go to reminisce the joys you had as a third grader reading about John’s bigFor someone who's never entered a public library with your kid, you do seem to have some irrational fears of them being turned gay because of a book.
That's a divergent take, makes it sound like a racket. So, if you sincerely believed that homosexuality was a sin; would it be hateful or compassionate to try and prevent someone from enduring an eternity in hell?
I know you don’t believe that; but some people do. And would it not be the worst form of hate (for those individuals) to NOT say something?
Full disclosure; I do not think homosexuality is some „super sin“ that is worse than anything else. We all sin in one form or another; and a single sin is enough to condemn someone to hell; hence our need for a Savior
You know what else Jesus didn’t say anything against? He never said don’t beat your wife. He never said don’t do drugs. He never said that slavery was bad. He never said to not cheat on your taxes. That's a lot of words to try not to admit that Jesus didn't warn you about gay people ,but rather about hypocrites why make a big deal of praying in public.
I know the libraries I grew up going to in the 90s/early 00s had Hustler & Playboy magazines. Also had copies of the Kama Sutra and probably a whole bunch of other stuff.Yeah. A library is a place where kids should have parental escort at all times. Can't have any kind of wholesomeness in their lives.
how does a library having a book groom the kids? They State shouldn't be grooming kids. I know you're in favor of this but it shouldn't happen
Just because your creepy neighbor called his basement "The Library" doesn't mean it was a real library.I know the libraries I grew up going to in the 90s/early 00s had Hustler & Playboy magazines. Also had copies of the Kama Sutra and probably a whole bunch of other stuff.
pretty sure they had that naughty stuff going back before the 90s too.
your fake moral outrage is totally misplaced.
