Does everyone know what a limerick is? If not, it's your lucky day because you learned something.

The rules for limericks are as follows:

It is a five line poem.

The first two lines and the last line rhyme and the two lines in the middle rhyme, for a pattern of A-A-B-B-A

The first two and last line should have 3 beats where the middle lines should only have two beats. Like....
ta TUM ta ta TUM ta ta TUM
ta TUM ta ta TUM ta ta TUM
ta TUM ta ta TUM
ta TUM ta ta TUM
ta TUM ta ta TUM ta ta TUM :D

Here's an example:

There once was a man from Bombay
who wore on his head a toupee.
He thought that he might
give friends a delight
and remove his toupee for a day

Every person put in a line or two of a limerick. If you finish a limerick, be sure to start a new one. Think we can make some? Let's see....

There once was a woman named Sue....

Well be my guest then. You have to have some rhythm to understand that post. I wouldn't expect you to understand.
