Lindsey Nelson Stadium,

This topic got me thinking about needed facilities and buildings on or near campus

(1) Indoor Track
(2) New Fraternity houses
(3) Hess Hall has got to go eventually
(4) Large entry plaza at LNS.
(5) New, larger, more visible, McClung Museum (that would be cool next to LNS)
(6) Right Field Hall
(7) Waffle House (2) on Cumberland Avenue
(8) Neyland Entertainment deck
(9) Pedestrian Bridge over river/
(10) Condos over looking LNS Centerfield
(11) Outward facing concession stands at Neyland for pregame - not sure why this has never been considered.
(12) Replacement of the Andy Holt Tower and Circle Park buildings- they really suck.
(13) Doubling the number of football practice fields at Neyland-Thompson- 13 fields is not enough.
(14) More garages
(15) More seating at Sherry Parker Lee

#7 needs to be TOP PRIORITY

I lived in Reese and Morrill in 1976-1979. Walking past Hess was a trip.
I remember for a while we had a nightly concert. This rocker dude would crawl out of his window onto the roof of the little add-on in the courtyard. He'd run an extension cord to his strat and amp and just start jamming. We'd yell, use real lighters, and throw beer cans from the windows till UT Police showed up to make him go back in.

Hilarious. Some guy in Morrill Hall had an Elvis concert. Had flyers up all over the place advertising Elvis and the concert. I think the day before classes started they had the concert, Elvis and 6 body guards all dressed up. They arrived in a limousine behind that street that ran behind Morrill and Carrick. The crowd was going nuts the whole time. Good times.

I stayed in Reese for two years. Had friends in Hess. Man, that place was crazy and lived up to it's nickname.
If you were that dude who came back from dollar long neck night at the Last Lap with the giggling little trollops who sang along to “Tennessee Jed” at 2:30 am in the room next mine at Reese…just know I still haven’t forgiven you for my lost sleep. 😉

Add replacement of McClung Tower/Humanities building. Ugly and outdated.

I know that project is on the Master Plan, but it's in the long term (10+ years) category and I wish they'd move it up. That's so close to the heart of campus and an upgrade there would really enhance things.

They could bulldoze Humanities and it Would make the world a better place. I bunch of useless wokism in that building and not much else.

Most of my classes were in that building

I lived across the (former) street in Melrose.

There’s a lot of non “<blank>-studies” classes there as well.

It got a lot better after the South African Shantytown protest camp was torched.
