Left 4 Dead 2

the price for most of the dlc in l4d isn't too terrible. most of the time it's around 540 microsoft points. compared to alot of other stuff on live thats 800 or 1600 points, it's really not that bad.

Is all the DLC Free?

If you are playing the game on the computer - usually through valve's STEAM service (which is just game cost and that's it, not a subscription fee or anything like that) or just on PC at all - then all the DLC is free

I've heard alot that Valve tried to get DLC stuff out on the XBOX for free - the passing mainly - but microsoft objected, and told them, no, that it would have to have a cost (or as I like to put it: "no, we like money")

(I've actually read a few times that this was why the passing took a bit longer to come out, because Valve went back and put more in the DLC to make up for having to charge for it)

This and L4D are under $7 a pop on Steam right now for those that don't have it on PC.

Got it yesterday and finished it in about 15 minutes. It's good and all but....I wouldn't say it was worth the extra 6 months Valve took to get it done.

Not to mention there have been tons of complaints about the DLC for L4D2. I got mine for L4D and I saw no problems other than at one point there was some serious slowdown for some reason. But the L4D2 DLC has had some serious bug reports, like zombies running through walls, players falling through the floor, and things like this. Considering Valve's excuse for taking so long is usually to get everything right, I find this quite funny.

Anyway, time now to wait for L4D3.

what complaints? i've seen the scattered ones that almost always come up but nothing numerous and heavy so far.

it doesn't seem to be acting like spider man shattered dimensions or that big one in metroid other m

the dlc i've downloaded has been problem free. i still need to get the sacrifice. i'll probably get it next week sometime.

downloaded the sacrifice today. it was alright. i would have rathar they included another original campaign in l4d2 compared to a rehashing of the no mercy campaign from l4d1, though.

Maybe the ones I listed?

i meant like source wise; i haven't read any big write-ups about it being overly/terribly glitchy. that said there's always a handful of people commenting on message boards or comment sections that "such and such did such and such," with every game, even once and a while with heavily monitored things like halo and mario galaxy
