i've come to the conclusion that way too few volnationers actually play this game on here.:p

to the handful of people that actually own a copy, we should consider getting a posse together to double tap some zombies every now and again.

Is this a buyer or a renter? I assume a renter since you actually own it.

just curious, but what don't you like about it scribbley? if you're not playing online or with people you know, you're not going to get much out of it alot of the time.

IMO, this is one of the best titles i've played in the past 12 months.

honestly, some of the best is the online play

once you start playing as the zombies you can't go back to only being the survivors :)

The FPS interface itself is early 2000's at best. It just doesn't have a good "feel."

I don't like how enemies just spawn and spawn and spawn either.

I don't like the speed of the game, where I feel like I am missing something all the time in combat and just having to fire and run and strafe continuously, without being able to even think for a moment or be tactical.

To be fair, I have pretty much only played single player.

definite buy.....although i'm guessing this won't affect you any since you've already told me that you think this game sucks when you've never even played it before.

i'm not trying to talk you into anything, but if i were you i would at least try it once in co-op with 2 or 3 other teammates to see how you like it. i started playing the left 4 dead games last summer and don't think i've ever completely played through any of the campaigns in single player. these games were made for co-op and online play. like i said in another thread, if it wasn't for the ability to team up with other people then i probably wouldn't even buy them.

as far the "non-stop" aspect of it, that's just part of the game and the atmosphere. i suppose if you don't like it you don't like it. you're never going to have a moment where you can just sit there look at things without worry that something might happen (unless you're in the safe roon) since the AI is set up to make each playthrough different every single time you play a game. personally, i think one of the better parts of the game is that enemies and weapons/items spawn at different locations every time you do a playthrough.

i'm a versus junkie but have started playing through some of the campaigns again since i just bought the passing dlc.

i just wish there were a way to keep up with your stats(W-L record, kills, etc) in versus mode and scavenge like in other team vs team games.

The point of the game is kind of run and gun...you're being overrun by zombies; which actually they aren't zombies in the "living dead" sense, they are actually infected humans which is why they are more "28 Days Later" instead of "Night of the Living Dead".

Playing campaign single player sucks. You really need to play online with real players, and if you can find people you know.

And BTW, I'm starting to get ticked that the L4D DLC hasn't been released yet. It was supposed to come out a month after L4D2's "The Passing" came out, and now it's been almost 2 months and Valve hasn't said a word about it.

It's valve, as much as I enjoy the games they make, what ever have they released that hasn't been late or delayed?

gib fest mutation this week with m60's and unlimited ammo. for those of you like me who still are trying to go through all the campaigns on expert, now is probably a good time to do it.

And still no word on the new DLC...I'm beginning to think we won't be seeing this, or it will be part of L4D 3.

the iron man mutation sucks this week. it's nowhere near as good as i thought it was going to be. they made it sound like once a teammate dies they are dead for good, but they respawn in the saferoom once the next chapter starts just like in a normal game. it's basically just a glorifed realism mode.
