Leavitt to LSU

Looks like some of our fans are getting worked up over some YouTubers looking for likes and subscriptions. Silly fans. Don't be so gullible.

you all can spin this however you want, but its always the same, everyone gets their guy except for Tennessee, who is always the first runner-up, and it will be the same people going "yeah, im glad we didnt pay him" who are saying "gotta fire heupel for not getting a QB" at the end of the year. it always is those same people
Gilliam, Lee, Campbell Lane--we never get our guy. Poor us. Pout and whine.

Having another coach fly into your city, post it online, then take a QB that is in your campus, is a horrible look. Explain it away, but it’s bad optics.
Kiffin came in with a big bag after his screwup. Any kid that takes getting treated like that isn’t much to me. Hope he enjoys running for his life. LSU has no OL

Thanks for joining the site in November 2025 just to be a troll
Everyone was a newb and had to sign up at some point. This is a bad take on your part. He isn't wrong, GMac should have more experience but Heup waited too long to switch out QBs in the few games we were up big. He may be a troll, but just bc he signed up in Nov doesnt mean he just started watching football.

This bidding war may be more than business. Sounds to me this is personal for one of our big money boosters.

We have probably at least 3 boosters/alums who could buy the whole shithole state of Louisiana.

Remember this is a school who had a booster embezzled $180,000 from a childrens cancer hospital to buy a player.

say it ain't so - no ONE, and I mean no ONE is worth 6-7 mill a year.
I mean even guys like Mendoza, Manning, Sayin, etc. are worth that kind of dough in a single year.

let alone a guy that has an injury history
Worth is determined by what people are willing to pay in a free market. Therefor, if there are teams offering Leavitt 6 or 7 million, he is worth 6 or 7 million.

And until some salary cap is introduced or boosters just stop paying out, there will never exist a cap to "worth".

I get it - it's free market capitalism at it's finest.
I was only expressing my personal view point and frustration, but totally understand.

I've been into classic cars since my early 20s, specifically the early year Mustangs, and a piece of advice given to me that has always stayed the course - "It's only worth what someone will pay you.".
You can have a '64 1/2 that you think is worth 20K, but if someone is only going to give you 15K, it's worth 15K.
same here with these QBs...sigh
