See, here's the thing: they're gators.

They smell bad, they have no values, and they put stuff in their mouths most of us wouldn't even let into the house.

But they're honest about their leanings (unlike some) and two of them are actually fairly intelligent. They can be fun to talk to.

I don't think I would ever choose to spend significant amounts of time "living among the enemy." But it takes all sorts to fill up this world, and these reptiles in VN.com apparently like it.

So...glad to have them around. In spite of the fact that they're, you know, gators.

Go Vols!

Although on the flip side you have those that get super butt hurt and tear those down that do offer a different opinion. They know who they are.

Take all the gators, Bammers, Dawgs, wildcats, ducks and gamecocks away from here and it still wouldn't be "Just Go Vols", that's just dumb. We eat our own as well if not better than anyone.

When is the last time you had a conversation with a gator, other than agreeing their Head Coach is better than ours and starting chit with a Vol fan that didn't even disagree?? Haha, this is where you say "Just being honest". Well no chit! There is no discussion on Mullen being a better HC.. to this point. I'm still not sure why this needs explanation. It's just weird to me that you seem to care so much.

It's a message board on the internet, why some of you are so concerned with what the gators think about you, that you feel like you have to roll out the red carpet and defend them like they're royalty, I'll never understand.

A far as them being here, I personally don't care. The more the merrier a far as Im concerned, but if they or you think Im gonna bend over backwards to make them feel at home. Lol.

You don't come off as much of a people person. It can be socially healthy to get other perspectives in life. You know, just in case you happen to be misinformed, as mathematically improbable as that might sound to you. Think of us as providing a public service for the betterment of all the SEC brethren. I do enjoy the different perspective here and yes, when I think someone has posted something completely wrong about Florida, I enjoy attempting to correct that. Sometimes I’ve been completely wrong, other times I’ve been right. I was on a Gator only site for years and frankly, it became completely insufferable during the Mac years, and it started during Muschamp. It was at the end of Mac that I got tired of dealing with folks who seemed to hate the program instead of loving it, so I migrated here where at least the folks who hate Florida aren’t pretending to be Gator fans.

One thing some of you may not realize is that just about every message board for all big SEC schools now has fans of other teams who are regulars. It’s not dominated by them but there are 8-10 posters who are well known from other teams. They usually add to the discussion and make it more interesting and it does add to the reading when you get opposing points of view.

I did see that some feel I am too “in your face” at times and I am taking that constructive criticism and will try to be less so in the future.

This is pretty much it.

I cannot recall how long ago I started posting here but at the time the difference in quality of the board's features over others was noticeable, and that remains the case.

I find most posters here to be reasonable about football. It gets a little wacky this time of year with expectations. But that is the case everywhere.

I think it also just has value as a constant. Good times, bad times, early, late, there's continuity here I don't see elsewhere.

Lol, it's not just them, it's any fans of a team that has beaten us lately, which unfortunately is a bunch. They think it automatically makes them more knowledgeable. Funniest thing I've ever seen here. It's like they actually had something to do with it.

I don't like having lizards here. To be honest, I don't like reptiles of any type. On the other hand, The vile "Visitors of V," the denizens of "Dracanonia." the guttersnipe "Gorns," the cowardly "Kig-Yar ." the jackass "Jem'Hadar," and the piss ant "Posleen," put out better, more intelligent and informed posts than certain of our pseudo-Vols fans.
