Lane Kiffin

Soo.... Did he say something negative that I didn't catch or you believe he truely has no regrets? Not sure why you'd be so hostile even if you don't agree

Something negative. Yeah. Kiffin coming back. That is negative. F.I.

Why would we want Kiffin? He has never won anything? He had to have referee intervention to beat our banged up set of scrubs tonight. The guy is totally classless and is a good fit for Ole Miss.
No one ever said we wanted Kiffin. Do you know how to read??

Funny how people read this differently. I saw it as him being upset when he realized the level of hatred Tennessee has for him now, and regret at knowing his actions tonight helped fuel an ugly situation. If there was ever a sliver of hope for him coming back here, it's gone after tonight.

I kinda thought the same thing. I think he thought time would have healed this but obviously our scars haven't healed. Loser program with loser fan base and he was the catalyst for the downward spiral that really is an incredible shame.

No one said that. Only said he had regrets. Please read before commenting

I can read. Your statement implies that he should be asked to return. We just need to let you out onto the field alone to make that statement. While I sell golfballs in the stands.

He's standing in the middle of a field where people are throwing stuff at him. What's he going to say? "This fanbase sucks, they can eat s*** and die." He would have got beer bottles and batteries to the face. He was in survival mode.

He mentions and alludes to TN so many times on Twitter because it gets a reaction. He's a troll.

Do I think he regrets leaving Tennessee? Yeah, probably. 2 reasons. He was tarmaced at USC and he knows TN is a better job than Ole Miss. He regrets leaving because it would have been a better situation for him. Not because he has any love for us or the program. Because he loves him.

I cannot believe people still buy his s***. He will leave whatever job he has for one he feels is better. That's why his name is being thrown all over the place at LSU, one of Ole Miss's arch rivals (in fact, the older Ole Miss fans I know consider LSU a bigger rival than Miss St. Kind of like us with Bama and Florida).

F that dude. I'll take Heupel as my ride or die between the 2. Heupel acts like he wants to be here and I believe he does. He also took a roster that is held together with shoe string and duct tape and nearly beat (and frankly should have) a much deeper team.

You obviously have a comprehension problem. I implied nothing of the sort. But please deflect to hurling insults instead of admitting you're arguing against an imaginary point that no one ever made

That's probably more accurate honestly. Not that we're a loser program or fanbase, but that's what Lane had running through his head. It's right on brand for him.

"I truly believe that if offered the HC job on the spot he'd have never gotten back on the bus bound for Oxford."

Your words, you pompous ass. That passes as a suggestion around here. Find a spot on your mantle for the trophy. F.I.

How on earth is saying that he regrets leaving a suggestion that we should have him back?? I realize you're confused but you're still arguing what I meant in a post that I wrote. Are you a troll or truly having a hard time understanding?

No coach is ever "loyal" and no one else would be either. Money talks in this world period.

To the so called 400 or so that threw stuff onto field, thanks for adding on to the horse.... of a program we have had here and will continue to have. If i was a recruit or a first time fan then i can assure you where the last place on earth i would want to be..... Go every other team in the SEC.... i cannot wait for the Alabama and Ga games.

Kiffin didn't have one negative thing to say about the crowd during the post game interview. He was so proud of the golf ball he had to show it off. Seemed to even be almost tearing up as he spoke about it. I truly believe that if offered the HC job on the spot he'd have never gotten back on the bus bound for Oxford. He knows he made a mistake leaving. Disagree if you want but I stand by it.
Kiffin is the reason for what happened last night. Our team, who have zero connections to him, played their hearts out. Kiffin is the coach who had to resort to having his players fake injuries to stop us, and you all act like he's nick saban. Our fans who have a high school crush on him are the reason for what happened. I get being frustrated at the fake injuries, and the refs, but if it wasn't Kiffin, then this wouldn't have happened. I swear I don't get the obsession, he's mediocre everywhere as a head coach, good coordinator yes, but not a great head coach. Disagree if you want, but I stand by that.

I hate to say it, but yes Lane was, gracious and complimentary towards the fans and stadium. He could have cried and painted the situation even worse. That said I don't want him back as a coach.

Side note; the despicable action by the fans last night, even though I sympathize with the pain of the fans there, is really going to make it hard to recruit here and ultimately hard to keep JH here. I'm betting JH wakes up this morning and is asking himself, Will I stay here if I'm offered another job elsewhere? I hope I'm wrong on this...
