Does anyone think that Kemp could have pushed for playing time this year? I was sad to see him go

It was pretty packed at his position. Maybe if he learned to play FS or SS? He had a couple big plays for us towards the end of the year.

I personnally do not care wher he is. I think he is a waste of talent and had four chances to stay on the team and blew it. I mean how stupid is someone to blow four chances at playing at the university of Tennessee. I guess he cared more about smoking pot than playing for the big orange.

Little harsh for someone who is at the age that making the right decisions can sometimes be trying. Coker also had a problem before he came to UT. While I agree with some of your sentiment, I don't agree with condemning a young man that still has chances to do something with his life.

I thought you were talking about Britton Colquitt until you mentioned the pot smoking at the end.

Coker was major disappointment for me too. I was thinking the other night how nice it would be to have him, Arian, and Monterio all fresh and running the ball this season.

I hope all goes well for him at Hampton. Maybe...he will wake up, grow up, and prosper, but I kind of doubt it. James Banks the Second, unfortunately.

I understand that young people make mistakes that is just part of life but he had four chances. I mean that blows my mind.

Juveniles cost around 55,000 per year to keep locked up. Soldiers make what, not even 30,000 per year to risk their lives for us. So I Coker know isn't a juvenile nor a bad person, but ultimately the choices people make in life are paid by taxpayers and he was headed that direction.

Well, we could use a few more good ol  like you! Pot isn't just a cig dude. Don't minimalize it. I hate that LC was kicked off the team too, but just bc a good % of the "UT campus" is tokin don't mean its freaking cool. I sure hope your not like a judge or anything important. Pot is wrong & it makes you stupid. Oh yea...its illegal too, but let's just minimalize that as well.

sorry I let this get off track. Please continue to bash a young man for smoking the always dangerous weed.

It takes some people more than just four chances to learn that "what is cool or others are doing" isn't where it's at. He was obviously a wonderful talent while we had him, he just had more personal problems than just weed while he was at UT from what I have read. Just pray that the young man can turn it around for himself and let it be.

I dont hate the kid but I would give every earthly possession to play for the Vols. This kid had the tools to be great but simply threw it away. I mean Coker had to be a moron to fail four drug tests and he knew he could be randomly drug tested at any time. It just seems that kids dont take playing in College seriously, they need to understand that it is a privilege. Coker gave up playing in front of 100,000 people to smoke weed. If I was in his shoes I could not live with myself for being that dumb.

Well I'd rather do something about it rather than down play a real addiction. LC messed up & had opportunities to fix it multiple times. I work with adicts of all kinds, and they will use & loose whatever for their addictions. I am in the trenches with guys like LC all the time, matter of fact in about 2 hours I will be again. I hope he fixes his PROBLEM and moves on. It can be done. Sorry to chew you but when folks down play a real addiction its wrong. Just bc LC & or the "UT campus" is too, don't mean it's OK.

IMO, I don't think 95% of this board would know what comes with being a legit D1 football player. I've learned that you can't say what you would do because its all assumptions anyways. People that have been through it can tell you better and from what I have read it's NO EASY road. Say what you will, but I nor you would know what to do with the attention and fanfare you would get with it.
