I know it's not cocaine, but there is a thing called maturity and integrity and he immaturely disobeyed the law and the ncaa regulations multiple times despite the various opportunities he was graciously given.
No doubt, I agree 100% that he didn't do what he was supposed to. Thing is, it's almost a year later and people still can't accept the fact he isn't here. Was LaMarcus selfish in his actions, yes without a doubt. Is it for us to decide what kind of person he may or may not be, I would say no even though I was as vocal as anyone in the disappointed choir last year. We all know that drugs are not acceptable in athletes lives, but it's not for us to say why they did them in the first place. I'm not perfect so I will try my best not to pass the judgment.
I would say that LaMarcus could care less about yours or anyone else's expectations for that matter. He's gone and that's where it should be left. You must still hold Reggie Cobb over the fire as well. It is disappointing that athletes do these things, but hey its their life and they and this team moved on. So should you.

With logic like this, all teachers, leaders, & parents never should say anything bc it is "judgment". So mr. inconsistant...are you judging me for judging...? How dare you judge me...what a joke.
No, I am talking about labeling him not worthy of any support or well wishes for his life and why he did it. Why don't you read the post I was quoting instead of trying to make your argument hold water. As far as you judging someone, that's your business and you have to answer for that not me. So by all means go for it, O master of logic.
I support people every week, if you'd read my previous posts you'd have known that. I don't judge people, that's what you said. I help them get past their mistakes. You & the "recreational user" are acting like it's no big deal to toke, and I'll jump all night & day against ideals like that. Try telling that to the thousads of people that are bound in their addiction to pot & other stuff. Pot is mearly a gateway drug. It is wrong and so is the other stuff. I'm in the courtroom with these guys that get their slap on the wrist (a fine) and they go on to it again. A fine isn't the answer either, but I do agree with the overpopulated jails prob; that's a tough spot to be in.
I'm sorry, but alcoholism is a bigger problem than weed. I also wasn't referring to you in particular, but overseasorange's post.
it's basic common sense that weed is much less harmful than other drugs and its use is much more widespread. whether another drug could take it's place in the arbitrary position of "gateway drug" is irrelevant, the fact is that decriminalization of marijuana would essentially remove the effect from the safest and most commonly used substance available, which is clearly desirable to what you have now.I support people every week, if you'd read my previous posts you'd have known that. You sound like the commercials on TV now I can just picture the little kid ridding his bike in the middle of a busy intersection and the kids who are smoking pot in their car at the drive through pull forward and run him over.......
