Lady Vols vs. Kentucky Game Thread

This was a very embarrassing loss. Not because it's UK, but because of the players UK had on the court for the last 10 minutes. The talent discrepancy was enormous, and they still blew it. At home to boot

They need to get their act together, and fast.

Just goes to show how good coaching impacts a game. Mitchell outcoaches Holly from beginning to end.

Kind of, he did some pretty boneheaded things too and his team certainly didn’t look focused. Looked like 10 chickens with their heads cut off most of the time.

how many more garbage losses and pathetic efforts will we have to sit through before something is finally done about it?

UK did have a bunch of chickens on the court. That lineup had zero star power, compared to Tennessee's roster full of 5-stat HS AAs. And Collins was one of the few players who played hard end to end. Why wasn't she on the court more?

Given what Mitchell had to work with, that was a masterful coaching job.

Sometimes, if not most, the Lady Vols play like they don't have a true game plan. They're erratic, their passing is horrendous, same with the shot selection. Whenever they get like this, Holly is too busy on the sidelines throwing her hands up, instead of calming them down and making the right subs. No matter what type of players come in every year, this is the type of play you're going to get, always. When the Tenn. brand stops being a draw, players who want to grow and be developed will go elsewhere and Tenn. will go the way of Louisiana Tech, Texas Tech, etc.
