well ESPN is already reporting knowels is the target and the deal is being finalized so I don't know that would be a STRONG smoke screen.

muschamp is never leaving the job he currently has. he has millions in the bank and is on cruise control the rest of his career. he will never be a DC again (by his own choosing). he is living life large now

It’s difficult to know if these high dollar coaches are worth it.. what I see is good players making good coaches. He had elite talent at Ohio State. How much of that was coaching? I wouldn’t sell the farm for this guy. Money not well spent IMO, if we don’t give him talent to work with.

If you're in search of an experienced Defensive Coordinator with zero blemishes in their history .... you are going to find yourself in a very long coaching search, and still probably come up empty.

1RB...probably like Star Thomas unless Hiter has changed his mind now at Michigan (please let it be so)

Thats really all we need from the portal. If Lewis stays we dont even really need a RB with Bishop, Morris, Baker. I think we probably grab a big blocking TE similar to Kitselman. All 3TEs we have are better receivers than blockers. JVD did lay some people on their backs this year in limited playing time. He LIKES to hit. Not sure that Davis or Brahme like the contact.

the question you should be asking is how did OSU get all that elite defensive talent. knowles built it.

its like saying Nick Saban was only good because of all the talent he had (that he recruited).

Don't ask me why...it's probably been 20 or 30 years, but...

Watching MNF. Don't remember the teams, but Al Michaels and (former NFL player, can't remember) are calling the game. One of the CB's is getting torched repeatedly. Al Michaels makes a comment about how the CB can't cover the receiver. The other commentator says "Hell, he couldn't cover me." The whole booth broke up laughing.

Thanks for the memory.
