Kippy Brown, Gran Gone - Rumor

People know who Willie Gault, and all of the recievers that made UT WR U. I am sure Kippy can recruit just fine, so he can get talent with his experience.

My oh my, everyone needs to take a chill pill and relax, if we lose coaches, we replace them. We don't pick the replacement nor do we have any influence on who is chosen. I cannot believe all the rumors and names people are throwing out there.

CLK will either make the right decision on replacements or it will be his head.

It's a message board dude. I think you're missing the purpose of it.

Memphis is in Mississippi, not Tennessee. We don't care about recruiting in Mississippi.

I want someone who's going to keep recruiting Florida. We need to figure out who's recruiting for WVU down there and get them, or go after a big name at one of the Florida schools.

I can't believe Gran would leave after 1 year. If he does I will have lost all respect for him. Unless it's a head coaching position, why would he leave? FSU is old news.

Well let's see....our record is no better and we spent twice as much on coaches who use the Vols as a springboard to other jobs. Yes, goodbye Phil and Chief, we are much better off. Grandpa makes a million and Chief made 300K? What a good deal... to make a few malcontents happy. I can't wait to hear you Kiffin Kissers howl for his blood when we lose to the gaiters and alabummer next year.

Ever wonder what the recruiting would have been like if we had paid our National Championship staff like we do Grandpa? Chief would have hit the road recruiting hard for a million.

Tennessee football is so much better off, we just can't see it yet??

With Fulmerism posts like this, I can see why you only have 18 in over a year.

So Coach Eddie Gran is leaving for FSU? Don't get it we will build something special before FSU does.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! Every one of the players raves about this coaching staff. Eric Berry went as far as saying he was jealous of the freshman to be able to play for four years with this staff. During the AL game the announcers were talking how the game had an NFL feel to it. Huard went to say the UT walk throughs on Fridays were like NFL walk throughs.

In regards to Eddie Gran. I think he stays, if we match or come close to matching the FSU salary. This is about money. FSU is not near south Florida and has nowhere near the facilities UT has. Plus it is ACC versus SEC football. Let this play out everyone, relax.

I liked Phil Fulmer, but we needed a change. I also liked Johnny Majors.

Lane Kiffin is the coach now. GET OVER IT

I'm really concerned about all the recruits we will be losing as a result of this if it happens. I hope to God Palardy doesn't switch to FSU, that would be a killer.

You seem to be living in a dream world, trying to continually make things sound rosey. They are not and the change of staff is not anything special so far. It is just costly.

a few things, Gran's new position may be a big upgrade from UT. if it is, you cannot fault anyone from moving up the ladder. Gran is a man of very strong faith and that could be easily part of his decision. Tubberville recently said that Gran told him he was the 6th best recruiter on UT's staff...take that for what it's worth. While his accomplishments as a RB coach are unquestioned, the special teams this year was our weakest link.

Do you really think one barely "winning" year is a great change?? The YEAR BEFORED PHIL WAS FIRED WE WERE IN THE SEC CHAMP GAME WE ARE WATCHING TODAY.

and that same year we got clown stomped by our 2 biggest rivals 100-37. Yes, this year is definitely an improvement

And we still lost to UF and Bama. We backed into that SECCG. We you depended on teams losing, to help you, you are not good enough.

I liked Phil, but he is where he needs to be.
