Why would Auburn fire Gus only to hire Kiffin? That doesn't make much sense. Kiffin hasn't really proven to be a good HC at a big school yet. He was ok here for 1 year, despite him inheriting probably the most talented roster we've had since Fulmer was fired. He underperformed at USC despite having elite talent and a supposedly elite staff. Certainly not impressed by anything he did at FAU.

Yes the guy is considered an offensive genius, but that doesn't make you a good HC.
