What's your best guess on what the message said? lol

Jeremy Pruitt briefly got distracted Wednesday night during "Vol Calls."

Pruitt received a text message from Mississippi coach Lane Kiffin, causing Pruitt's attention to falter momentarily during a question about Tennessee's secondary.

"Can you say it again?" Pruitt said during the radio show. "I just got a text from Lane Kiffin. It's pretty funny."

Pruitt didn't reveal the content of the message, but Kiffin has been hamming it up all week. His Rebels (1-1) are set to play No. 2 Alabama (2-0) on Saturday (6 p.m. ET, ESPN), and Kiffin has used the game that will pit him against Nick Saban, his former boss, as an opportunity to grab even more headlines than usual.

Kiffin: Jeremy, Coach Saban just responded with a picture of his statue in front of their stadium.

I told him they almost named the Knoxville Sewer Treatment Plant after me. It’s basically the same place since all the trash that shows up at Bama’s stadium on Saturdays in the fall.

Kiffin: Hey JP, I just realized that despite my head coaching reputation and the complete ****show at USC, these folks on Oxford love me and gave me a metric ton of money. In two and half years when I get fired will you hire me?

CJP: LOL 😂

Honestly, in two more years with Chaney being older and his health cannot be 100% I would have no issues with bringing in Kiffin as a co-OC with the understanding that once Chaney retires he slips in as the OC. He has a good offensive mind.

Funny how everyone takes a bad situation that involved Kiffin here and write him off as a bad coach. Kiffin is a good coach and Ole Miss is going to be a very tough team to beat in a couple of years. He is great a scheming with the talent he has.

Dear Jeremy:
"Folks in Missippi tell me that mattresses are not native to this state so there are none for the local fans to stock up on.
Could you please convince the Knoxville mattress outlets to ship all their excess inventory to Oxford before the end of this football season?"
Sincerely,
Lane Kiffin

If it doesn’t work out at Ole Miss, he’ll snap up the next Louisville level gig or even Florida Atlantic. He isn’t built to work FOR another HC.
