The use of the Rebel flag for hate or heritage will always be there, but any symbol can be used for hating or heritage.

Both are symbols of oppression. Each symbol represents in about 6 million deaths each.

So were the Chinese communist flag and the flag for the Soviet Union, yet we see this flag being waved proudly by progressives at almost every protest they have. Someone care to remind them how many deaths of their own citizens each nation was responsible for?

6 million is a drop in the bucket compared what they’ve done, yet you have a portion of the population that desires for this type of government to be in place here.
