Kiffin Strikes Again

D-cell batteries are gonna be a hot commodity. Might need to buy now and sell on the street on game day. Profit margin could be huge.
Forget about the usual State Trooper escort for that game. Kiffin might want to think about hiring some Blackwater guys for the game in Oxford.

Kiffin recruited just fine to Ole Miss, because kids wanted to play for him at Ole Miss.

LSU damn near recruits itself regardless of who the coach is.

And I do agree his statements were disingenuous at best, but it wouldn’t be a Kiffin breakup if it wasn’t messy.
To me this is a little like Kelly trying to "be Cajun" or dancing on a pedestal..... just cringe.

Kiffin must have the self esteem of a gnat/tremendous narcissicism to always have to try to make himself out to be "the warrior against Them" in every situation. I guess he'd not seen an ESPN headline with his name in it for too long so......

Mississippi doesn't even sell that many Confederate Flags compared to other areas. What's ironic here is North Carolina sells by far the most Confederate Flags, but have no problems putting quality basketball programs all across the State. Alabama/Georgia/South Carolina/etc all sell more Confederate stuff than Mississippi, as well. Just the usual suspects looking for attention via revisionary history.

Lane's a smart guy. He knows the VF audience. The interviewer doesn't really know much about college football (and as Steven Godfrey points out in another tweet, this is obvious from reading the piece). He knows that the stereotypical audience for VF doesn't know college football either and will likely be sympathetic/understanding to his supposed rationale for leaving.

Never mind, of course, that while at OM Lane recruited at a level far in excess of any other Ole Miss football coach and delivered their greatest seasons in 60-65 years. Whatever hang-ups recruits had with OM's Confederate imagery didn't really seem to matter all that much.

I think he 100% does. Despite his brashness and outspokenness, many people who have covered him over the years have mentioned that he's actually introverted, socially awkward, and insecure. If you watch his mannerisms in press conferences and interviews, he pretty frequently looks uncomfortable and nervous. I don't think all that many people pick up on it because he's usually saying something funny or attention-getting.

He knows the VF audience will buy his particular brand of bull$hit bc they can identify with and be empathetic to those who perpetually play the victim, no matter how successful they are. He’s played all his cards to justify his exit at Ole Miss and there was only one left to play…

I’ve always wondered if it was bc he wasn’t a very good football player .

His schtick and constant need for attention gets old. Very immature and frankly embarrassing. It’s in his DNA and that’s odd considering his dad wasn’t that way. Hasn’t changed a bit in 20 years and that’s sad.

Just a couple of west coast snowflakes that think they know best how southerners should live based on their limited stint living in the south. So lucky to have them here…not sure we could exist properly without their commentary🤮

Must be a slow news day. Kiffin never misses an opportunity to be the douche that he is.

Kiffin wants people to believe OM has a segregationist chapter on campus and a George Wallace candle light vigil annually.

Unfortunately, some are falling for it.

I think it is more likely due to the fact that his dad was a well-known/influential figure who everybody really liked. Based on their public personalities, it is kind of hard to believe that Lane is Monte's son.

And most importantly My Grandmother.

Olivia can carry a grudge. Fulmer said the first question Olivia asked him when he visited Peyton was “how well do you know Steve Kiner”
Haha. Very good point. Bottom line is that Sark is pretty much an a$$hole. Like someone else suggested, he probably did this as a favor to Kiffin bc Lane knew what was headed his way when this story was released. I’ve never seen much in the press that has been overly positive on Sark. It’s usually a video of him being a clown to a stadium official or something else.
