there is no proof in that.he didnt win at Oakland and he has talent everywhere at USC and he is struggling to win with them.He was 7-6 here DD was 6-7 or 8-4.But to say he would of won here is just guessing.
Dont get me wrong in not defending DD,he needs to be gone
As a coach...not gonna discuss the merits of their character.
If Kiffin was here, yeah we would be on probation...booohooo...USC and Ohio St seem to be doing just fine with that.
If Kiffin is here we would have had 8-10 wins and would have competed hard for the SEC East.
Like it or not it's true.
I can't believe I'm going to defend Kiffin but Dooley has much better talent and can't get it done. Kiffin would have fixed the Oline problem. Kiffin had this team play above their talent level on several occasions, Dooley has them playing well below their talent level. He was 7-6
A world better

KIFFY BOY never had to coach a team with this lack of talent, except maybe Oakland and that didnt go to well. So not sure you could say for sure he would of done better except he would of still had a few of his playas here
You might want to look at that roster again. The '09 team was severely undermanned in terms of talent compared to several teams on the schedule that year and Kiffin still had Tennessee competing in games right down to the wire. The matchup against Alabama that year being a prime example.
Kiffin will win a conference championship before UT does.
Getting beat by UCLA at home was as bad, if not worse than getting beat by Kentucky on the road. UCLA was not a bowl team if they played an SEC schedule.
Since Lane coaches in the Pac-12 I would have to agree... Much easier road to hoe. California is a much better area for D-1 recruits as well. Coaching and winning at UT is much harder, anyone with a partially functional brain can see that.... Fact is the common B**T**D left us hanging... Even if Dooley isn't the coach in a year or two the recruiting has been Solid... And he will actually leave the next guy something to work with. Its wait and see for me, 8-9 wins will keep him here next season whether people like it or not... JMO .. Go Vols.. Get your stuff together Dooley.
