Anyone that has Hoosier for a name should also be ignored on a Vol site. You are hereby ignored by a Vol fan for life.you are hereby ignored -- bye
I recall a huge backlash on social media when Walz's name came up, with many LV fans declaring they would boycott the games if he was hired. Anyway, Fulmer took the lazy way out that made him look good to the populist in the fanbase: hiring a former Lady Vol player who happened to be a head coach. This despite having a sporadic record at her first stop, then failing miserably at a P5 program. Only a Cinderella Sweet 16 run at a mid-major salvaged her career. At the press conference introducing her as the next head coach at Tennessee, Fulmer cited the fact that Kellie Jolly Harper was on 3 of Pat Summitt's National Championship teams, as a factor in why she was hired.
Apparently, the fact that she had previously been fired from NC State was never factored into the equation. Fulmer also acknowledged that, in spite of some public angling for a raise that Jeff Walz of Louisville had done, nobody else was ever considered. She was his first choice. Why? Just because she was successful as a player 20 years earlier? An athletic director at Tennessee should be more ambitious than that when hiring a women's basketball coach.
Wtf? Really? Pretty huge challenge she’s accepted. Huge influx of personalities. I’m sure she cyphered how difficult this would be, plus said, sure…throw OSU in there…The question is when does necessary become a specific time. During the season or at the end ? I think we let her finish it out then make a decision . Firing her during the season won't make anything better , were doomed.
I think we can all agree on that.I recall a huge backlash on social media when Walz's name came up, with many LV fans declaring they would boycott the games if he was hired. Kellie was one of my favorite players, and I want her to succeed. But the slop being dished out proves otherwise, and the fact her teams still have the same old problems proves she's in over her head here.
I just saw that when I rewatched the end of the game. Yeah, that was uncalled for. Her behavior after the losses has been atrocious, and she needs to learn how to win AND lose with some class.

I’ll admit, I checked the next three game stretch. Building chemistry, check. Competitive, check. Would really suck if Kellie pulled a Pat out of her behind, eh?
Someone on her staff needs to assume a position of competence. Just takes one brilliant mind that can project the required vision.LOL the only thing Kellie is pulling out of her behind is that lame excuse in her postgame conference about why she didn't advance the ball that she couldn't even explain...
How so? 2-4 this year, no 2023 commits, biggest recruit in the 2022 class is the 13th off the bench, #2 player in the nation is from Tennessee and headed elsewhere by all indications, built team on her portal evaluations to win now, staff is questionable due to lack of production by units. I keep going back to Kellie isn't a new coach, she got her "lessons learned" out of the way at NC State. She has earned at least 2 more years....
We will agree to disagree...How so? 2-4 this year, no 2023 commits, biggest recruit in the 2022 class is the 13th off the bench, #2 player in the nation is from Tennessee and headed elsewhere by all indications, built team on her portal evaluations to win now, staff is questionable due to lack of production by units. Yeah they really do thats why we cant get key to play hard anymore or the reason Rickea jackson walked away in disgust by her lonesome as the buzzer sounded to yet another loss. Or how about Kellie and her husband having temper tantrums with each other on the bench ? It's giving you and a few fans still believe in her only im sorry just my opinion. Im not sorry nvm lolI still believe in Kellie,so do those players!
Coaches getting heated in timeouts w/each other as one poster said yesterday and Rickea Jackson walking off the court after losing is pretty telling. (Not the first time after a loss she has shown her frustrations, just this time she left instead of doing the handshake line)Still amazing how a troll can read a persons mind just by looking at their facial expression or how they move.
