Then they don't have the votes. They either get the votes, or Trump makes another nomination. The process works.

And as always, if you want to play the moral card, we can discuss whether there is some objective you're pointing me to, or if you're just trying to get me to agree with your opinion. If it's the second, I'm already laughing.

The FBI isn't going to anything, not really. Matter of fact, they might not even tell them to pound sand, Idk.

Basically, you have 2 days of Senators admitting on TV that they have no idea how the federal government works or what their basic duties are in a committee.

Generally speaking this isn't a FBI matter, it was a committee matter to investigate potential appointees.

Yeah, the FBI could have taken statements but the committee can do that too (its actually their job), and they did. The committee is the investigation body of this process, generally the FBI has a very limited role because there is no federal crime, generally speaking.

I’ll agree with this. Flake Collins and Murkowski hold all the cards. Trump should invite them to the OO, ask what they would like to see, get a commitment from them on scope, then just get it done.

It’s not a 7 day delay at the moment. It’s a 3 day delay if they get off the dime and get an agreement in place.
