Junior Finished?

fact is most of the time the kids don't live up to what their parents did in a sport, i'm talking about the parents that were actually one of the greats.

You're talking about a very small sampling if you are just going to talk about the "greats" with no logical reason behind making it so small. And yes, Archie Manning was one of the greats. Just mired in the dregs of a terrible franchise most of his career. FWIW, he was before my time too, but this is football we are talking about and he was only the father of our greatest QB ever.

And......Boom Goes the Dynamite:)

Archie Manning was the best QB in the SEC at the time, one of the best in college, and like was already posted, he was wasted in New Orleans with the "Haints". There was even a song written about him while at Ole Miss. He would only not be considered great due to who he played for.

I feel my response fits your criteria.

Also Richard Petty as Lee Petty's son. Lee was a very successful driver in the early days of NASCAR, winning at least one championship.

I get your point, but my point is that it's very few and far between

only once, after 8 races, has somebody come from 19th or worse to make the Chase. that was Martin Truex Jr in 2007.

if Junior doesn't win in the next two weeks, you can stick a fork in him. permanently.

At least no one came up with Lou & Skip Holtz or Bobby & Tommy Bowden.

If Terry didn't like the ladies so much one could have made the argument for Bobby and Terry Bowden. And who knows, he may get it going at N. Alabama and make it a viable argument in the future.

I predict a crew chief change if Jr struggles at 'dega... if not, they can chalk up this season as a loss

I can see them running well at Talladega and the spin will then be, "Oh look, they ran well at Talladega, everything is OK after all."

Because obviously Talladega is a fantastic indicator of how you're going to run at Darlington, Richmond, Charlotte, and so on...

I'm sure they will take any glimps of good news and shout it from the mountain tops. I don't think the vast majority of NASCAR people will buy into it though. I really don't see them turning it around untill Hendrick takes control and quits waiting on Dale Jr and Eury Jr to fix it on their own.
