Junior Finished?

The talk of Eury Jr keeps building each week. It will eventually be irrevelant whether Hendricks wants him gone or not, but the talk will end it.

The talk keeps getting bigger each week. It's getting to the point now that it's not Hendrick's decision anymore, the media and fans are pushing it heavy.

Poor grammar on my part.

I agree...they had another mistake on pit road Sat. night. It is becoming an epidemic for them!

If they indeed do make a complete overhaul of the pit crew, Jr no longer has any excuses. You can certainly tell that the frustration and disapointment has reached a point now that something must be done, or addressed.

1. Earnhardt is far from finished, If he never wins another race he will still race for at least 15 more years. He brings in more revenue than any other driver. He will never not be able to find sponsorship. He already has a Nationwide team w/ Hendrick. I see him following in Gordon's footsteps in owning or co-owning a Cup Team in the future.

2. They aren't going to get rid of the crew or crew chief. Not anytime soon anyways.
NASCAR.COM - Hendrick is '100 percent' behind crew chief Eury Jr. - Mar 26, 2009

3. It is not to late to salvage the season. He is 103 pts out of 12th with 18 to go before the chase begins. I agree the season has been lackluster so far but at this time last year he was the number 1 Hendrick car.

two weeks ago would have been too late to save this year.

Mark Martin was nearly out of the top 35 a couple of weeks ago. A couple of great runs later he's now within a couple of points from getting in the chase. The guys 10-14 aren't exactly world beaters. If Junior can have a decent summer then he would easily race his way back into chase contention.

You can wave the lil E flag all day long and it comes down to the fact...yes I said fact that he's not MAN enough to be his daddie's boy. He's a weak middle child that will never be able to cut it.

They need a complete over haul of jr's team. At this pace jr will be lucky to be in the top 20 in points, much less the top 12 when the chase starts.

Dale Jarrett did pretty good for himself.....also Barry Bonds(even before he was juicing):) sorry, just had to throw those out there. I know their dads weren't the best of their time but they were pretty good.

i'm talking about some of the best, the 3 i gave all have championships. i'm just saying expectations are ridiculous because they aren't the same person

People expect the "apple not to fall far from the tree". So there's always the added pressure of being as good if not better than one's parents.

I agree. Nobody should be expected to perform at a certin level just because their dad did. In some ways I feel sorry for Jr for all the pressure that is put on him because of what his dad did. But on the other hand I don't think he would be where he is today if his last name wasn't Earnhardt. I'm not saying he has no ability. I'm jsut saying he wouldn't be as well off or have as much job security if he had a diffrent last name.
