Absolutely....Why keep several thousands, who pay the same prices for tickets, from seeing what the majority are seeing? Spend the money and put a second one up on the south end!!!! Of course, realistically, that will never happen.....

I'll take a massive, amazing one that we can brag about over two average ones. But I'm all for them adding a very average on to the other side that doesn't cost too much.

Yes a new one to replace the one we have but having one bigger than Texas when I dont even think the frame is bigger than the one texas has so I'll hold my breath until we have a legitimate sources. There is nothing to say that it wont even be the exact same size as the one we have now just a slightly newer model.

No way the AD can justify dropping this much cash on a scoreboard after all the money they've already spent on the stadium.

the frame actually seems a little larger than the one at texas.

It is honestly a necessity. Like stated before we have to keep ours on at all times which is pissing away electricity. UT is the most Green campus or is trying to be. So if they have to drop alot on a new one to then save electricity Ut will do it for publicity on trying to be green in the long run. It even is a big issue in this years SGA elections talking about excessive electricity use by sports department.

I just finished putting the jumbotron for the gwinnett braves together. I was working for daktronics (same company that built godzilla tron.) I do know that they were in negotiation to do UT's board. If this is true Daktronics didn't get the bid but i don't think this is a rumor. Daktronics was to hear about bid rewards before 4/1/09. So this news makes a lot of sense.

Daktronics made our basketball jumbotron, and the scorers table.

They dont make the same screen anymore. Texas board is like 110x80 I think. Dolphins have larger diagonal.
