'20 JUCO DE Jordan Davis (Mississippi State commit)

The only reason Bama has perfected their bagman process is due to the NCAA president being bffs with Nick Saban. Bama's resurgence was a perfect storm of sever pieces falling into place, not some brilliant plan hatched on their part.

This is true. There are plenty of examples of Bama and their cheating plastered all over the internet yet the NCAA turns a blind eye to it. The other day Bama self reported all these minor infractions the other day. All that was was them saying, "Look, we clean!". Do others cheat? Absolutely, including our beloved Vols. But, not even close to the level that Bama does.

That is what they (Bama) want you to think.

Most every program has some violations. But it seems whoever gets in Bama's way gets investigated.
My point exactly. Miami and NC got off with slaps on the wrist.Ole Miss will get pounded because they are a legitimate threat to Al.

What's the deal with Bama's class? Just a lack of scholarships?

Simmer down they'll finish numero uno again in February. They don't hv to guess and tk guys hoping they'll get a rise in their ratings or how they'll project down the road.

Nah, I think it's too late for them to catch Ohio state. I think their streak of number 1 is over. I'm sure it'll be top 3 though still

Not the case at all. This conspiracy theory of them being a threat to Ala is silly. They just got caught giving out 13.5k and so on to a recruits just to visit. Tunsil snitched, and the medical board of licensure went in and reported the Knediche brothers dad who had no license to practice nedicine but was working at their Ole Miss medical center as a Dr. Trust me when I say they were doing blatantly ignorant stuff. Deuce McCallister once said to me on a former top recruit in TN "how much will it take to get him here and we'll do the rest" and this is just 1 instance i know of and will spk on personally.

So an Ole Miss player used you as a resource for paying high schoolers? :)

Bagmen generally have lawyers drop off money now a days. The NCAA has no legal authority, and the investigation hits a wall with the words of "attorney client privilege." That was a snippet of wisdom I remember from that book on Coach O when he was at Ole Miss selling Hummers....

You guys sound like middle school whiners complaining that Bama wins b/c they cheat. I'm in that age of folks that believe Bama is still our biggest rival and I hate'em more than any other team, but to discount their success as due to their ability to cheat and get away with it is just silly. "The only reason Bama has perfected their bagman process is due to the NCAA president being bffs with Nick Saban" is just crazy talk. Saban, hate him as I do, is the best coach out there and he has things rolling in Tuscaloosa. You have the best coach in an environment where the only thing that matters is football and it's been quite successful--but to attribute it to cheating because Saban is best friends with someone is ridiculous. They have been treated differently than others sometimes but that's not why they have been successful.

Exactly this. It's not hard to see why high school players, especially defenders, would jump at the opportunity to be on a team that's basically guaranteed to play for a title while they're there. Then on top of that, you are basically secured a draft spot on reputation of the system alone as a LBer, HB, OL, or DL. Bama has enough going for them where they don't have to cheat anymore than another SEC school (Ole Miss excluded).

My...my..my....how naive are You?

Yup Bama is squeaky clean...thats it.

Ole Miss will get pounded BC they're Ole Miss. Auburn was a threat to Bama and they got nothing out of the NCAA. The NCAA is all about posturing and breaking a boot off in nobody schools asses and Ole Miss I see about to get a lesson on where they are inn the big picture of college sports. Nationally on a revenue scale no one gives a crap about Ole Miss.

That Coach O Hummer commercial was great.

Never said they were squeaky clean. I don't think any schools are. My point which apparently you missed was that to attribute their success to cheating (and the being bff with anyone at the NCAA) was just naïve and downright silly.

Sure have. One of my buddies is a State fan and he hates Ole Miss with a passion. Kinda like I hate Bama.

My dad's side of the family are all from Mississippi, and almost all played sports for Ole Miss (Dad was a MLB under Johnny Vaught back in the late 40s). One of my cousins decided to go to Miss. St. for an engineering degree and you would have thought he murdered a family member. Back in the 60s I used to go to my dad every year to the Egg Bowl, and to the OM vs MSU BB games, back when everyone still played in small, hot fieldhouses. That rivalry, and the hatred between the fans, is every bit intense, if not worse, than the Bama-Auburn rivalry. T

The way State fans tell it is Ole Miss is all old money. So if you are from Mississippi and well off (or at least live in the NW portion of the state), then you are an Ole Miss fan. They claim everyone else is a state fan. All I know is that there are a lot of Bammers and LSU fans in southern Mississippi.

now that Emerson has committed, Is Davis the #1 guy left on the board ? Does Butch and company make him the number 1 priority left on the board over the next 6 months ? If so I like our chances with a big time close

No she doesn't but also know they're not from TN

How does that matter though? If her son is showing genuine interest in another school, then she it owes it to him to at least expose herself to the opportunity to be persuaded just as he did. It's his life, and she shouldn't hamstring him. The appearance sure seems to be that she either doesn't like Tennessee, or there are some incentive$ for him to go to Bama. The difference in distance sure isn't reason alone to make her take such a stand.
