Let it play out. There's a lot of negative recruiting going on so we need to watch how it goes. The other coaches are preaching Butch will be fired after this year and we won't be doing anything on the field. Have to sit back and watch what happens. But they are telling the parents Butch won't be around to coach their sons.

Lol...he resurrects a program from the dead and goes 9-4 in back to back seasons. Should last year have ended differently? Absolutely! Should we have won the east? Yes! Gone to Sugar Bowl? Yes! With all of that, it's still absurd that these kids can't step back and look at where we have come from, and realize Butch isn't going anywhere after this year, unless we have an abysmal season and finish sub .500. It shows in the level of assistant coach hirings he was able to make after last year. Assistants see something is special here, too. If they felt it was a sinking ship, they certainly would not have jumped on. Do we need to remember what that scenario looks like...Dooley's last year and all of his glorious diamond in the rough hires? Butch isn't going anywhere, and he will show he can get it done.

Apparently, the parents of our current commits forming a top 10 class aren't listening. Our recruiting momentum right now is possibly the best we've seen since Butch got here. I think it's an easy counter, IMO. Butch will have to tank in order to get fired (5+ losses).

I'm not saying that it couldn't be true but these kind of stories circulate frequently from VQ. I think most of the time it's sour grapes.

If it is true that his mom is driving his decision, then I agree that it is a bad situation for Davis.

We just do not know if that is the case. The fact that the VQ guys say it is, does not mean it is true. But, it is a strong statement that I do not think they would make without some type of corroboration.

The Vols need to be insidious with establishing their brand in elementary schools and elsewhere in the state. You should see power Ts everywhere when you drive through a city or small town. Turn the billboards orange. No good old boy with tobacco juice dripping out his mouth should be without a UT cap or tee shirt. And for Gods sake.....just win. Hearts and Minds baby!!!!!

It is I agree. Im just saying before we make assumptions and make crazy remarks just let the season play out. With a good season he'll be flipped for sure. Darrell Taylor will help with this flip. He's going to have a huge year. IMO

I agree. I've been excited about him since we were recruiting him. Can't wait to see him start! I have a feeling he's gonna be a beast alongside Kongbo. Phillips too.
