Really hoping she visits with him. We can really sell depth chart, I.e former #1 Da Shawn hand riding the bench until his last year. What if he gets hurt this year? He will be lucky to get drafted. We can sell being a better scheme for his body type. Butch is really good at selling academics and overall support, which moms all eat up. We can really sell Hoke.

Just need her to humor her son and find time to come on down. It would go from a pipe dream to being in serious consideration.

I don't dare doubt Bama's resources, but why pull out the heavy guns for a 3 star? Saban is just a genius at connecting with families and knows the most important is generally the mother. THAT can be competed with...specially with Wells and Hoke added to the equation.

Not sure about all the different sites but Davis is a composite 4 star.

He was bumped to a high 4 star, #73 overall, on rivals last update. 4 star on 247 and ESPN too.

Those two are looking like some monster recruiters. Even if we miss on Davis I feel extremely confident about our dline and oline depending on how good of a coach Wells turns out to be.

A lot to be optimistic about in our coaching changes this year.

So I haven't kept up with his current star rating...my bad. I don't think Saban celebrated his already committed recruit's promotion with more enticements...not with the 5 stars out there to land. The relationship is the obstacle. Better that and you're golden.

I don't understand why parents have to make their own kid's decisions for them? Obviously Davis has the right to go wherever he wants too. I just don't think it's right for parents to put pressure on their kids to go to a certain school whether it's Tennessee, Bama, etc.

Mama can be swayed, just get her on campus to visit with Hoke and company. If Davis stays consistent in wanting to come to UT then mama will come around slowly.

That's a great angle to push. I think we end up pulling him especially because from what It sounds like Carvin could be committing to us soon
