Josh Richardson to the Heat

Didnt make the playoffs and James is gone -- maybe not so much crappy, but they will probably just be in a rebuilding phase for a couple years (unlike Orlando and Philly, where its taking a decade or more).

They'll be the 3-4 seed next year if they stay healthy. I'd let Wade leave and pursue M. Ellis. Dragic, Ellis, Deng, Bosh and Whiteside is a really good starting 5. They got a great player in Winslow, and have positioned themselves great for next years FA class.

I know he went to school down there at Monteverde, but it hurts me knowing he was an in state guy for us. I loved watching him at OSU though, better than UL I guess.

Okafor vs Towns debate is useless. We've argued it before. It's an opinionated question. I think Towns is the better all around player. Okafor is a given on one side of the court and has potential on the other to become very solid. What happens when Okafor has a bad game inside scoring? What does he do well? Towns can have a bad night on either side and still be a force on the other. Either way they both should have very long and productive careers.

It's always been rumors that UofL chose Snider over Russell early on. Don't know how true but didn't seem smart to look at it now

I was pissed they picked up Winslow, I think okc grabs him if Miami doesn't. I wanted Winslow.

Lets get back on topic ladies. This is a Josh Richardson thread, not a thread to debate whether Towns or Okafor is better.

Love these posts. No thread stays on topic, who cares if it morphs into a civil discussion? Still beats any SD VS the world derailment in every other thread.

Here are some excerpts from his interview with the Miami media after the draft:

On his three point stroke, which is now a strength of his game: "It was a matter of being in the gym everyday . It hasn't been easy at all but I think I can be a solid shooter at the NBA level."

On how he was able to get on many teams radar in the days leading up to the NBA Draft: "I think it was because of how hard I compete, how well I defend and how much of an improvement I've made since college. I'm a way better shooter from when i was in college."

Off subject... But what are the odds McRae makes the 76ers roster this year?

I think he will be on the roster this year....we wanted him to get plenty of minutes so we placed him in Australia and then with our D League team. He did pretty well in both so I think we will keep him on the roster moving forward this year.

It did not hurt that Coach Spoelstra and Butch Jones are the best of friends. This may work in Josh's favor for actually making the roster. Would that not be awesome?
