Yeah they did, when they brought in a Juco WR... Barring injury, Malone, Von, and North won't come off the field much.

Not true. Every WR in the 2 deep rotation will play a lot of snaps. That is how we keep the offense fresh for 4 qtrs when the opposing defense is tired at the end of the game.

Croom needs to improve, but on balance, I think he had an underrated year last year. There were multiple times he was the victim of a bad throw by the QB. He converted some important third downs. And Neal owes some of his biggest runs to Croom's excellent downfield blocking. There's a lot in Croom's game to like and he will be a big part of the game plan going forward I think.

Jacob carter is an excellent blocker too. Croom has shown nothing so far, his best game was against literally the worst team we played, and even then his highlight was softly tapping the ball away from the db and luckily getting it tapped right back to him. That db should have been limping off the field for trying to take a ball away from a 230lb WR. Darick would have blown him up. That's how croom needs to play, he's 15lbs heavier than DR. Otherwise, he'll be as good as Jacob carter, put him in on running plays and occasionally sneak the ball to him when no one expects it.

He certainly has tthe widest gap between where he is now and his ceiling. Azzanni needs to earn his paycheck and develop him. DGB at Mizzou was in the same spot as croom last year and had a great year this year.

@Rivals: A polished route runner who can also turn on the speed when needed, Josh Malone (No. 27) is an instant impact guy - @RivalsWoody #Rivals100

Asking why Malone dropped

@rivalsmike: Other players moved up, Malone was solid at Army but not great @JSloan_OG: @rivalsmike why did Josh Malone drop?

Farrell gets so bent out of shape on twitter towards fans. Half the time the fans make a good point to him and he's all smart azz. As far as Malone goes, he did nothing to warrant a drop. Don't worry about it. He won't be the last UT commit to get dropped.

@rivalsmike: Other players went to schools other than UT, Malone was solid at Army but didn't flip to another school.

Weren't they talking about how well Malone did in practices? The actual game means nothing, IMO.

Typical blame a WR for qb and coaches not knowing how to throw to the WRs on the outside. 247 made several comments that Malone was obviously best WR on East team but that QBs just never looked to him to give a chance to make plays

Along with Howard that'll be the four you'll see on the field a lot. You can't win with others limits your play calls. I also think Hurd and Helm will be used as matchup problems in the passing game. WR is a position that needs to be hit hard again.
