LOL. I guess you're gonna go down sinking with this ship.
Dobbs has a better chance of going in the 1st round than he does going in the 4th round.
at this point, who really knows. there's not a team out there, that really needs a franchise qb, that wants a 1st rounder to be a bust. i think there's a lot of trepidation out there, on the whole, regarding the qb's, because the opinions vary so greatly.
i honestly don't know where Dobbs is going to go. the only thing that would shock me is if he was one of the 1st 3 qb's taken.
it's going to be interesting to finally find out what these teams all really think of this crop of qb's when you have to pull the trigger on someone.
you could argue that 4 qbs are taken in the 1st round.
you could also argue that only 2 of those guys are gone in the 1st round.
you figure Cleveland is going to get a QB with one of their 1st round picks, probably that 12th pick, especially if no qb's are taken ahead of that, and that's a possibility. you figure Houston will take a qb at 25.
but other than that, the teams that "need" a qb could decide to take a more known, reliable, talented player at a more. or equally, pressing need elsewhere.
SF needs a qb, but at #2, is there really one worth taking that high? The Jets need one, but again, there are a lot better players at impact positions they can get with that pick, and save the qb pick for later.
past that in the 1st round, teams that need a qb, already have an established starter, except Houston, and may be looking for a guy for the future,
i don't know how likely it is, but with as deep as this draft is, you could make an argument that it's possible only 2 qbs are taken in the 1st round....and take your chances in round 2 that your guy, or a guy like him, is still around....
then it's katy bar the door in the 2nd round, and i'd expect a pretty good run to take place.
