Great find dog. I can't stand a hypocrite....D4H is unbelievable. Nb4 he responds saying he changed his mind with more information.

Information that "wasn't available". Translation: "Didn't know what I was talking about, but I was too busy talking to discover the 'available' information"

Regardless he's a guy who will be dependent on the offensive line he goes to. Behind a really good o-line, he can be really good. However, if he goes to an average o-line, he could be average. And that's not exactly what you want in a high first round pick.

I think you underestimate LF's versatility. He can play at 220 or 240 without losing much speed plus his size, speed, vision, strength could be considered generational. A lot of comparisons are to AP but AP is the complete package and more.

Your argument doesn't hold much weight because almost any RB is the product of their OL production. Give or take a few. You rave about Elliot but the year before McFadden was a +1000 yard rusher and he's only posted one season over that in his entire NFL career. Btw, McFadden was a monster in college and had a lot of potential.

ESPN’s Todd McShay was all aboard on Thursday morning, becoming the first major analyst to suggest the Tennessee quarterback could be selected in the first round of the upcoming draft.
“I also think Josh Dobbs from Tennessee is going to go early second round if he doesn’t snack into the late first,” McShay said during an appearance on the “Mike and Mike Show.”
Mel Kiper Jr. said last week on an ESPN conference call that Dobbs could go in the second or third round.
The more Dobbs appears before NFL personnel, and the closer they look, the more they seem to like him.

It will be mind blowing if it happens. Going into last season I thought he would be a 6th or 7th round project at best, and after the SCAR game I didn't expect him to even get drafted but he really turned it on late and had an unbelievable Senior Bowl.

You deserve every bit of praise and success in the world Josh. GBO

I didn't feel like browsing through the numerous posts about Dobbs, so forgive me or not forgive me as I pose this question. Do you think that teams are possibly thinking that they can turn Dobbs into the ultimate weapon later down the road?

"Dobbs is the perfect quarterback for stashing on the bench, force-feeding the offense and bulking up a few pounds. Then, after fixing his footwork and targeting system, he can be launched on an unsuspecting league as the ultimate franchise quarterback in a few years. If that sounds like a plausible solution to an immediate quarterback problem, then you are thinking like a true guru!"

I have compared him to Randall Cunningham and he was once touted as the ULTIMATE WEAPON. Maybe Dobbs is the one that lives up to that.

The sign of ignorance is sticking with the same opinion when new information arises.

The more tape I watch the more sense I get of a player.

Evaluations change with more tape. The more closely I watched Fournette the less I liked. This was the opposite of McCaffrey who the more I watched him the more I liked.

The only thing you saw on LF's Jr tape was a guy who was nicked up all season and only had 129 carries. There were 3 QB's with more carries. In spite of that he still avg 6.5ypc.

When healthy his "tape" is the same damn thing you (and everybody else) saw when he was a So and at the top of your list.

If you want to use last season to question durability that might hold some merit but the rest of it is pure twaddle.

Gotta cut him some slack. He only backed off his Jalen-Hurd-is-a-guaranteed-legend assessment in the past couple of weeks.

You make everything you say concrete and final. Honestly, you're really bad at evaluating.

i'll put it this way, i do think Fournette is the type of player you can build around offensively, if you don't have all the pcs at the present time. he's good.

but if he goes to a place like that it might just be a year or two before you see it all come to fruition. if he winds up at a decent frachise with some pcs arleady around him, he could have a year similar to what Elliot had with Dallas...

That's more confusing than the way you put it initially.

I'm hoping for the best for Dobbs, but a part of me really doesn't want to see him go in the 1st Round. Seen too many QBs move up that high, then there's huge pressure to "throw them into the water" too soon, before they're ready. See Heath Shuler.

I'd much rather Dobbs get into a good situation regardless of what round he's drafted in. At least if it's the Steelers, though, there won't be pressure for him to start immediately with Roethlisberger there, so that's one of the few 1st round situations that might be good for him. Definitely don't want to see him go to a bad team, where he's going to have a terrible O-line, mediocre coaching, and likely throw a bunch of INTs, and get banged up.

Shuler was the 2nd overall pick. Shuler then proceeded to sit out for most of training camp which led him to be so far behind, that he never caught up
