JonBenet Ramsey Case

Ransom Note
Document Analysis

Such a strange note and actually it's the longest ransom note ever written in a kidnapping case. A group of FBI agents profile said that the hand writing on the note was "a well-educated female between the ages of 29 and 40 who knew the family and knew the home well; they further deduced that JonBenet was already dead when the RN was written. The caring and nurturing language in the note--"be well rested," etc. helped convince them the writer was female."

Also, check out this Patsy Ramsey handwriting sample from a pageant entry form..

Notice how both the 'a' and the 's' in the name "Ramsey" from this and the ransom note match. The top of the s is missing. Not exact but there are definite similarities with the 'R' as well.

This next site contains graphic photos and the autopsy report as well.

The 911 tape is odd..

Don't think about it too much and look at these facts..
- There was no evidence of a break in that anyone could find.
- Jonbenet's body was found in the basement of her own house.
- Jonbenet was killed in her own house.
- Everything involved with her murder came from that house.
- Everything involved with the ransom note came from that house.

One or more of the 3 people in that house that night killed her and one or more of the 3 helped cover it up.

Can it be determined who the killer is just from the above information through deduction and nothing more?

well the Mom's already dead

Ok, let's start with the statement "the Mom did it". Can you go through the sequence of events that rationally explains all the evidence in the case assuming "the Mom did it."

Let's start with:

1. The Ramsey family went to a Christmas Party and returned home about 8-9:00pm with the intent to leave early the next morning to their house in Michigan so all the family finished their packing and turned into bed around 10:00 p.m. (Remember Patsy got up the next morning at around 5:00am and found the ransom note.)

2. (What happened next?)

No, only that it comes down to the 3 people in the house, imo.

just a hunch

Let's see if you agree with this scenario. So they go to bed that night and Jon Benet wets the bed sometime in the night or early morning. Patsy gets up early for the trip and finds Jon Benet in her wet bed clothes (even though the police investigation found no soiled bedding that night). She then gets so angry that she strikes her daughter on the head with a blunt object and cracks her skull from end to end. But, this blow did not kill her. She then decides this looks really bad so she then decides she has to kill her daughter. She then takes her down to the basement and sexually assaults her and strangles her to death. She strangles her not with just any old string or rope but a grotesquely constructed garrote fashioned with an intricate knot tied to one of her own paint brush handles. She then wipes the body down (from the police report) and hides the body in the most remote room in the house. She then oddly decides it would be better if her daughter was kid napped instead of sexually assaulted and decides to write a ransom note. She then goes up stairs and with her own pen and paper (the police wouldn't expect she'd use her own writing materials) writes a ransom note (have you read the ransom note?). But then even more oddly she leaves the body in the house, wakes her husband and calls the police because it is Patsy in the 911call. Does that sound plausible to you?

certainly could have happened

Why would she write a two and a half page ransom note to John Ramsey and tell him that if he calls the authorities his daughter will be beheaded and then be the one to call the police? What was the purpose of the ransom note? Would she sexually assault her and decide it is better to stage a kidnapping but not get rid of the body? Or if she decided to go with her original plan of a sexual assault and leave the body in the house why didn't she get rid of the note? And, then tell the police dispatcher about the note in the 911 call?

Also, why would a mother who from all accounts from family and friends and evidence from family movies who is seen to totally adore and dote on her daughter suddenly "snap" and hit her hard enough to put an 8 inch crack in her skull and then sexually assault and strangle her?

Let me answer that for you and tell you usually the most obvious answer is the most plausible answer-she wouldn't.

so who did it

how come you followed this so closely

Always been interested in unusual cases like this and the Amanda Knox case for instance-especially when the perpetrator is so obvious but the authorities bungle it. Hate to see the devils get off. If you're interested a good place to follow and learn about these types of cases is WEBSLEUTHS.COM.
