I do not think it is who he has hired, but how he has ran their program. He has made it more profitable and better for student athletes by upgrading the facilities. He has increased their profit for 6 consecutive years. He is very adamant on providing an environment that is best for the student athletes.

Also, I am not getting caught up in all the K State stuff. It is Kansas State. They are not an elite program. So while they may not have had the success we would like to see in our AD, it is not like they are really capable of it. They do not have the resources, fan support, etc that we do at Tennessee. I think he did a great job to generate the success they did have, as well as generating more money for the program. Hell maybe Currie just flat out wanted to be at Tennessee too. He could have just been doing a job at K State, but actually care and want to succeed at Tennessee. We shall see my beloved friends.

I'm not arguing the money but would like to know he can hire the best choice for the job not another diamond in the rough guy.

Now seriously look at that and say this is a bad hire. The guy has had success and he has Tennessee connections. I think that is exactly what all of us wanted, it is just not Blackburn. I like it. I will admit that I would like to know more about the coaches not liking him issue, but then again that might mean that he is not a push over. I will give him a chance.

Very disappointed that we didn't get a Tennessee guy when we had a very qualified candidate in our back yard. This really alienates the fan base. It's so discouraging being a Tennessee fan, but what can you expect? Maybe it'll work out. I just hate it for Blackburn, and honestly for Fulmer as well. I guess we'll wait and see.
