That's BS. Not everything he writes I agree with BUT he speaks the truth a lot of the times. You just don't want to read/hear we suck but I've got news your you. We have sucked for the past decade except for two seasons (which we didn't even beat a SECw team in those two seasons). Take your orange shades off.
So from what I'm reading here, if John Adams retires it will solve all of UTK's football problems. Roger that, I'll keep an eye out
I don't really know what else he can say. Tennessee Football is 67-70 (28-60) since 2008 and has not finished a year ranked in the top 10 since 2001. For all intents and purposes, it is the worst 10+ year period in the history of the program, which dates back to 1891.Well his schtick has simply gotten old. Every article is sarcastic and just another dig at the Vols. I used to enjoy the brutal honesty; however he has pushed way past his approach of the early 1990s.
So are you saying you really don't care for him that much? And we would suck a helluva lot less if his ass went the Hell back to Texas or Louisiana. I am willing to hear the truth, just not from that mealy mouthed POS. You are one of the people reading him and keeping him here, not me. And that is what I call BS. Do us all a favor and go play in traffic.
You've never heard of him but you're qualified to make generalizations about people who have heard this crap stain's "journalism" for years. Most people don't hate him BC he's objective or not always a ray of sunshine. Adams derives a little too much enjoyment in being a douche and crapping on Tennessee football any chance he gets.Never heard of him before so I just looked up his past 5 articles and they sounded fairly positive about UT. Talked about how men’s basketball rise could possibly be a permanent thing and how the lack of UT players being drafted by the NFL could be a good thing since it shows we haven’t lost much if anything in talent going into next year and should be better. He didn’t say we would beat Bama next year so maybe that is why some people don’t like him.
Well, thanks to the OP, I will now read JA every day just to see how bad he really sucks.

No, it would not solve any of the problems, but it would allow the paper to put a more objective guy in the lead dog spot and one that might earn the respect of players and coaches and be able to gain access to more comprehensive fact sets they could spin into their work and gain respect and readership from the community. He is an old guy who determined his methods would employ the snarky, combative, and sensational modes we get to experience with the Jim Romes and even the Paul Finebaums of the sports journalism world. I won't listen to them either. I will never trust them or those like in kind. I recognize they are free to produce whatever they want whenever they want. But I find it odd that the paper is not more interested in garnering a wider range of respect within the community with their more senior positions. We older guys got to read about a lot bad things accurately and completely covered by guys named Siler, West, and Byrd among others and they did not have to stoop to methods that not only were not welcomed, but not accepted by the school or large portions (maybe majority) of the paying readership.
He draws you in with crumbs of bread, then he stomps all over your head.Never heard of him before so I just looked up his past 5 articles and they sounded fairly positive about UT. Let's pick apart your retort one by one.I don't really know what else he can say. Tennessee Football is 67-70 (28-60) since 2008 and has not finished a year ranked in the top 10 since 2001. For all intents and purposes, it is the worst 10+ year period in the history of the program, which dates back to 1891.
These boards will pretty much agree with everything he says, yet hate him. He write for the KNS, not a PR firm doing work on behalf of the University (although the KNS can fulfill that role if need be). He's paid to write his opinions in the newspaper and that's what he does.
