Joey Aguilar added as Plaintiff in Pavia suit

I say if JA doesn't come back Coach is going to take a look at the portal and see who's interested, he'd be crazy if he doesn't. Until they fix the portal, Nil you plan for the current year and worry about the next year when that time comes.
Where is GMac going to go and be a starter in a big time school, he leave he'll more than likely lose money and still not wind up QB1 or stick around take QB1 in 27. If believe in yourself and how good you are you can't be scared to compete.
Who knows where GMac could go? But to think he just won’t leave is crazy. The day and age of being afraid to compete is over. These guys are getting paid and it’s different. I could be wrong about this. If JA comes back I just hope we don’t lose GMac.

Not trying to be pedantic, but It isn't really info. It's a hypothetical concern about how the dominoes fall if JA is eligible next year.

As they've shown their value on the field, I'd say it's easily as relevant to be concerned how our future NFL WRs would react to a personel decision regarding the QB they've produced with as it is to speculate how our unproven QBs would react.

I just disagree with your logic and stated why. I'm not trying to convince you I'm right and you're wrong. We can agree to disagree. It's just speculation anyway. None of us can predict how the chips will fall.
Hey I could be totally wrong about this situation. It wouldn’t be the first time 😂😂😂

They were bad throwing decisions and bad games happen to every QB. You're deriving he "just doesn't have it" from that is...well, I'm glad you're not the coach. Stating he's the reason we go Taxslaying is a tone-deaf take.
He completely lost his composure in that game. Bad games do happen but he should be around 15 pics on the season after having 3 starting years in D1. That is bad. Appy and UCLA are some real powerhouses as well. Your standards are low and he obviously is not going through his progressions and just throwing to a point into triple coverage.

The scouting report was 100% correct and Heup’s hand was forced due to Nico and GMac being a true freshman needing strength conditioning.

You should stick to fishing as most certainly this was a one year plan for Heup. Our young qb will not improve with out getting reps with the one’s.

Odds are that I'm wrong and everyone else in the thread is wrong to. Won't be the first time walls of text get posted about stuff that doesn't happen. It takes D4H levels of selective memory to claim long term accuracy with these kind of predictions.

Oh he could possible leave but leaving also has risk, there's going to be QBs with playing time and stats also entering.
If he wants to go to smaller program he probably can get a QB1 spot but will also more likely get less pay, I'd think they bigger programs are gonna take the bigger named players with playing time first.
Guess we'll see but now it's time to head on over to the Game Day thread,, hopefully we can put a whooping on them and get to see GMac late 🍊

He didn't have THAT good of a year. He was very helpful but he's not a top dollar QB.

For example, there's little buzz about him being a high NFL draft prospect.
Are you saying a QB who led the SEC in passing, picked up a new offense in 3 months and has thrown for 200 yards in every game of his career would not pull top dollar in an auction? Helpful?

I think any player who isn't good enough for the NFL should continue to play in college. Make the cutoff 40 years old. let them be a professional student athlete. let's stop pretending any of this has ever been about education anyways. its about winning. nothing more.

This is a weird situation.

I get it, the guys listed in the lawsuit likely aren't good enough to make it at the next level, so yeah - I would sue for another year making 6 or 7 digits.

On the other hand, its hurting the guys that have the talent to make the league and bumping them out of crucial development time...It’s how you end up with QBs in the NFL that are talented as hell but couldn't recognize a defense to save their own life.
think of how Florida's situation would be totally different if Tebow didn't have to leave for the NFL where he failed. Florida could have had a dynasty 😂

I am saying that. Joey A remains a day 3 or UDFA in the NFL draft.

He's good at Josh Heupel's system and has fit in very well for us but I don't think he's a great fit for most other schools.

If Joey does get another year we start top 10 preseason.

If he doesn’t we start top 20 around 14-16 unless CJH gets an elite transfer.

Joey gives us a chance to win it all next year.

This is an epically bad take. Four of his INTs on the year have been off receivers not catching the ball and tipping to the to DBs or batted ball. And he’s had a couple of dropped TDs so he should be at about 25 TDs and 5-6 INTs. Three bad throws in two of the losses. But he annihilated Georgia. And he did all this with a couple of months to learn the offense. He’s not perfect but he has far exceeded my expectations and also done it with humility and class. I would take him back for a seventh year if we could get it. I can only imagine how much he would grow in the offense at his age and maturity level. Would probably look a lot like ‘22 if we have the receivers.
