Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter To Be Buried On Wednesday​


PLAINS, Ga. (WALB) - Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter will be laid to rest on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at the Carter Home and Garden in Plains.

Following a funeral service at Maranatha Baptist Church, her casket will be taken to the Carter Home and Garden at 12:30 p.m., according to a release by the National Park Service.

The release said the funeral procession will travel via Buena Vista Road, N. Bond Street and U.S. Route 280. The public is invited to view the procession, however, the funeral service and internment ceremony will be closed to the public.

Amy Carter choked back tears on Wednesday as she talked about the love story of her parents, Rosalynn and Jimmy Carter.

Her father, the former president Jimmy Carter, sat in the front row as she spoke. He arrived at his late wife Rosalynn's memorial in wheelchair and underneath a blanket bearing her face in a heartbreaking goodbye to his wife of 77 years.

The 99-year-old sat in the front row with his family and alongside all the living first ladies - Melania Trump, Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, and Jill Biden - and President Joe Biden and Bill Clinton.

The service was filled with love, laughter and tears - most of which came as Amy Carter talked about her parents, who met as children and married young.

Amy Carter admitted her part was 'hard to read without crying so be patient,' she pleaded.

'My mom spent most of her life in love with my dad,' she noted. 'Their partnership and love story was a defining feature of her life. Because he isn't able to speak to you today. I'm going to share some of his words about loving and missing.'

Two other observations:

1) Jimmy looks like he died a long time ago. What a horrible state he's in

2) I remember Amy from when she was a teenager. She never did grow into her looks. Just sayin'...

He and Kennedy are who mom wants the Democratic Party to be. She’s part of the party at 73 years of age who is left. Carter is the only President she speaks about long after he left office.

JFK would be too conservative for even the Republkican party of today. He was an honest to God cold warrior, who hated communisim, and believed the truth should be brought out fully for the public to see. . Jimmy on the other hand always played the role of poor southern Christian boy, while surrounding himself with atheists who hated Christians, radicals who hate America, and very thinly veiled marxists bound and determened to wreck the American economy. The two are nothing like each other.

Then there’s the Democratic Party that looks just like you.
I didn’t leave the party as much as it abandoned any sense of integrity.

The tribes push fear about the other tribe to stay in power while doing the exact same thing themselves. The minions eating this garbage up always ignore the criminals from their own tribe while bitching mindlessly about the other tribe.
Fear sells.
