Jeremy Banks needs to be dismissed

Can you prove that he wasn’t sober? If not, you’re just making an opinion trying to cast it as fact.

Second, the police report was released thanks FOIA’s and his car was searched and he consented to it. Are you saying the police report was made up?
I’ve read about the last 20 posts from you and if anybody is on drugs, it’s you. You can’t defend the indefensible and in short you are one big faildozer.

I just watched the whole video and if he’s on my team, he’s gotta go. He just didn’t lose his temper and spout off a couple of words, he persistently agitated the situation all the way to jail acting like a complete criminal. The way he spoke in front of the female intern was appalling. Either he is borderline mentally retarded or he was high, because his speech is of a 5 year old.

Perfectly expressed.

All you've shown is what has to happen for it to rise to the level of "harassment" legally, which is not at all what's being discussed here. So, the officer's reaction figures in to whether he can be charged, but doesn't matter one whit when deciding if threatening comments were made and whether a representative of UT should be allowed to continue being such after such comments. In fact, in the example you link, "threatening" has already been determined. In 4b (not 2b), the phrase "as a result of the communication" "described in a1" refers to behavior already considered threatening in a1.

Find out the number to your night judge or judicial commissioner in your town and ask him if someone made statements in your presence to do you harm and see what his next question will be. It will be did you feel threatened? Warrant given. After you file a report of course. But just call and ask
And, again, all your saying is that he can't be charged with a specific crime for threatening the officer. But, by all accounts, he did, indeed, threaten the officer.

That is not threatening someone with direct violence.

And once again, something is only a threat if the person who is on the other end of the conversation feels it is a threat. Unless you are the officer or the person doing the ride along, how you feel about it has zero to do with anything.

At the end of the day, the officer and folks obviously felt no threat given how they reacted and handled everything. My point is only proven as they have yet to put out any additional statement on the matter.

Quit trying to be offended because others who actually matter in this ordeal aren't.

Once again...."You can't fix stupid".

Probably about a 75 IQ. He's for sure the one doing his college coursework though. I'm sure if you put an algebra problem in front of him he could do it.

It’s according to how hard the algebra problem is. If it was something like this, he could likely figure it out.

X + 3 = 5

Pretty much. It’s where they’re practicing at. Ignont is gone...you’re not arguing that?
Nope just saying it’s not gameday and it may not be CJPs decision at all for all we know. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he doesn’t play

And what is my narrative? The fact that people on a message board don’t speak for others that were involved in the incident personally?

Such a wild position.
That’s a dumb narrative. Because it doesn’t address the argument I was making. He made threats by definition.

Just when you think folks cant get no dumber

You obviously didn't watch the video. The only abuse came from Banks to kpd. They actually cut him a lot of slack, He was driving on suspended license, and was not charged for this. It was obvious he was either drunk or high on drugs, and no charge for this. The only ones who acted in a professional, courteous way was kpd. The video show the facts, Other talk is just opioms with no facts to back it up

.....
I, on the other hand, am totally fine with not spouting off and letting the cops who are grown adults form their own thoughts and opinions and feelings because guess what? ....
The people, like you, who think that your feelings as a spectator trump the people who actually are involved are the worst of the faux outrage crowd. ....

How about let the grown ups who actually handled the arrest judge things for themselves and if they come to a conclusion that isn't what you agree with, so be it! And if they come to a conclusion that you agree with, so be it!

Really? I'm only on page 46/54, but it seems like YOU have posted 90% of the posts and THIS ^^ is an intriguing thing you've said.

I see all sides of this. Banks made a fool of himself and embarrassed his team, university, and fans. That needs to be addressed.

I’d bench him. He wouldn’t travel for a few games. I’d give him some education on how being a professional person works. He’s some kids hero. Act like it. Then, if he improved and apologized move on. Screw up again and I’d boot him. Make an example.

Kids screw up and I truly believe he grew up in a bad situation without proper adult mentoring. That’s life. He has the golden ticket to break the cycle. The ability to change his life for the better.

As for Pruitt on the phone he sounds like he cares about the kid. I think he is sincere in that regard. Maybe tipsy but sincere in terms of wanted to help Banks. However, his little comment to the officer “do your civic duty” shows his disrespect for the judicial process and those who work in it.

That is not the example he needs to set and he should think that over.

Nothing will come from any of this. No one will learn anything. We will still play the dawg Saturday and Banks will still start.

Pruitt will still coach.

We will still watch and think we will win until we don’t. Or think we will loose until we don’t.

Our society is broken. Our morals are broken. It’s sad.

I have no clue what you are talking about....did you see the comment I replied too? I havent defended banks at all. While I think a suspension and several ride alongs are what is appropriate here, I also wouldnt care if he......and pruitt were dismissed from the team today.

I doubt Banks will be here a few years from now. He’s obviously got some real issues that most likely won’t get corrected and I can see him getting booted. All that talent and nothing between the ears.
