Jeremy Banks needs to be dismissed

You must have missed the part where a state trooper, assuming Pruitt's personal body guard, had told Banks and Pruitt it was all taken care of.
No, he said a trooper told Banks how to handle it. He clearly didn’t.

So you're under the impression this had never happened before? Do you really think we had choir boys winning the sec and NC?
No, but this change in our culture that our fanbase feels it’s fine to fight and cuss police is new. And it’s pathetic.

Bye bye JB. Definitely a line was crossed. I worked with teenaged delinquents long enough to know you either can control your mouth and admit to yourself you made a mistake and go on or you can't.

Except he did apologize once he got around the support system of coaches and players..... The guy was frustrated in the heat of the moment. Also, no player wants to be the guy that has to call the head coach in the middle of the night. Ask anyone who played college ball that.

Glad to see the holier than thou poster is still (checks notes) acting holier than thou.
Yeah, I’m not one excusing threatening police and a female student, guy. Be better than you are right now.

there has been no change it's just they now have more access to what's happening. Same stuff has been going on for a long time but it's easier to deal with when winning.

This guy never knows when to shut his mouth or stop disrespecting people. Apparently has never taken an English course. Boot his ass out, Saban can have him.

the fact that it took over an hour to get him to jail for a U-Turn/warrant didn't help the situation. Police seemed nice on surface but there was a hint of passive aggressiveness from them. Understandably since he was so mouthy.....

Yes, I would rather much people cuss the police as opposed to the other hand of actually harming them...... Smh... People cuss cops all the time. Maybe you should go on a ride along. Guarantee you if you ask these cops if they felt threatened, they would say no. Banks consented to a car search. This happens all the time - once cops do a search like that and find no weapons, things are much more chill. And guess what, they let the guy vent. There is a reason there has been no additional statement from the PD on this.

My goodness. Your reaction is like Banks shot up half the police walking the strip.

Amazing how much you love the nanny state.

I don't want to know if this is true or not because I suspect it's not.
Not following you? I’m easily confused. I’m referring to the Jamis Winston stuff and the culture that was at FSU and UGA. I may not have made that clear. Im still not sure why the coach needs to be called first thing when a player is arrested.

Well he didn't directly threaten them with harm or violence. And you can't indirectly threaten physical harm/violence on someone......

Especially with someone who doesn't have a record.

Orange Mound, Nutbush, Raleigh, Frayser... yet Banks is from... Cordova. If you know the area, there's some humor in that. I think he was scared and talking tough to the officer. Not sure why the general public needs to know about this stuff.
Me neither, that’s why I question why doesn’t wbir cover every minor arrest that is on camera?

Is the sports animal taking about this? They sure shut down all discussion when one of their own got popped.

If that merits a dismissal, we might as well close down our sports programs.
He was angry and said something very wrong. But, dismissal? Would our rivals?
He threatened a Knoxville police officer. He threatened to shoot them. That is what he did. He should already be gone.
Pruitt condemned a Knoxville police officer for DOING THEIR JOB. Pruitt condescendedly told a Knoxville police officer to "do their civic duty" after complaining that his players did not get in trouble for things like this in the other three cities he's had coaching jobs in. Pruitt should already be gone.

Because we have a coach with a personality they don't like. Also add in the losers like Wolken, Thamel, and Forde and the media from local to national run with it because they aren't being treated nicely (in their own mind).....

If this were Peyton Manning or Reggie White, would anyone seriously give a rats axx? This is a youngster and he has the mind and mouth of a youngster. This is coming from a guy that spent his 19th birthday defending his country overseas. He's cocky and mouthy. So what, fill a barrel with 19 year old males and most of them will be cocky and mouthy as well. Stop giving youngsters a lifelong scar or penalty that follows them forever for a relatively minor offense. Even Sgt. Barnes in the film Platoon, nicked the youngster who was trying to kill him after he thought about it.
Neither Peyton nor Reggie would’ve ever done anything remotely as stupid as this, which for me is the primary point. Both were high character, classy guys. Banks is a punk from Memphis, which explains what he said about shooting cops and why he threatened the female who was doing the ride along.

I've watched the video three times this morning.

Please tell me where or quote me where he directly threatened the police officer with harm, along with directly threatening the person riding along.

I'll hang up and listen.

Side note - it is amazing how much so many people hate Pruitt for coaching a sport that has no direct impact on yall's life, but because one player who didn't take care of his private affairs, its somehow on Pruitt..... The Pruitt hate has never made me want the guy to win here more than it has these last 4-5 weeks.

Guys, this isn’t hard. If you don’t show up to court or pay the ticket, the judge doesn’t just say “oh well, we tried”. You can’t be this thick?

I abosolutely agree that he broke the law and deserves the punishment. However, I think the law should be changed because impounding the car is a better option, depending on the amount of fines owed. This optiion forces the person to take action but prevents them going to jail, which honestly is waste of police force and a waste of tax payer money. And if the person never takes action after ample amount of time, the police can simply auction their car off to pay off the debt.

The real takeaway from all of this is that Pruitt demonstrated again that he is too stupid for this job and really doesn't want to be here.

It still amazes me (but not really) that Fulmer could have a sit down interview with this moron and hand him the keys to the kingdom.

Peyton had an incident of his own..... now the drama of the accuser is a totally separate thing and was mostly a sham. But don't sit here and act like Peyton was a saint. Same went for Eli at Ole Miss as well.

Watch the longer video. It's over an hour. You watched it three times already?

"shoot at cops where you're from" Guess what, you have been given an opportunity to crawl out from that place and get an education. It's up to you if you want to make a better life for yourself. No more excuses.

The TMZ video is more than enough to touch over the high points as they will pick what is the "Most damning" in their minds.

Once again, please show or quote me where he directly threatened the police officer and person riding along with harm/violence
