Either there's prominent Dems in there, too, or the Biden administration did not realize what was in there. Take your pick.

If it was your preferred explanation -- that Trump is not in there in any meaningful way -- Trump's DOJ would have released them months ago.

DOJ has no way to change classification on documents that do no originate from the agency. Any additional information which was classified by another agency also would be covered in any new material created as well.

I asked you what legal hurdles changed between Biden and Trump??? If Biden would have been to release he would need judges and doj and everything else holding it up to play ball.....why doesn't Biden get a pass but Trump doesn't...he doesn't control everything...and the judges blocking the release are all Dem...my money is this hurts Dems and their supporters more then it'll ever touch Trump

Anything classified could have been declassified by Bush, Obama, Trump or Biden, and released to the public.

I think there is a viable 3rd option now.

there are embarrassing, or other harmful and not illegal, things for Trump in there.

Him having his own cigar moment with Clinton would classify. allegations of such would be almost more harmful to his MAGA image than raping kids, unfortunately. the rest of us would get a laugh and move on, but for the MAGA crowd it would be devastating.

and would explain Trump not exposing the full picture without it being nefarious.

Lincoln made Trump as a problem possible.

before Lincoln the president was much more a figure head and had very little extra-executive powers. previously the EO was really just a form of communication in the days before internet made everything instantaneous. Lincoln weaponised it.

Lincoln locked up the press that wasn't friendly to him.

Lincoln ignored the judges who weren't friendly to him.

Lincoln enacted multiple policies impacting foreign trade with in the country.

the major differences are the passage of time has worn down Lincolns sharp edges, and you don't agree with the apparent direction Trump is taking this country, but did agree with what Lincoln wanted.
