Jeff Fisher comments on interest in the UT job

I have no idea if Jeff Fisher could recruit or not. I do know that if he sits in a young man’s living room and shows he and his Mom a Super Bowl ring on one hand and an College National Championship ring that’s mighty impressive, as opposed to Hugh Freeze showing a kid and his Mom a division 2 high school ring and some girls phone numbers. Who in this league could Jeff Fisher not out coach?

Fisher would be a good leader of the program. He's smart enough to make the right decisions, and he likes TN enough to feel (act) like a hometown hire. Would he beat BAMA in 3 years? who knows. Would he win the east consistently? .. maybe. ...

Would he embarrass the university and fans on a regular basis? Probably not.

I do wonder about how Fisher would relate to and interact with the "Lord of the Flies" culture that may or may not exist within and permeate beyond the walls of the AD.

In the SEC? Saban, Smart, Mullen, Fisher, Pruitt, Stoops, Pittman, Orgeron would all out coach him.

You are spewing assumptions. You have absolutely no evidence other than your opinion. My opinion is anything is better that what we have now.

Yeah buddy, I assume you are talking about Miles, his recruiting class in 2019 ranked behind Vanderbilt. Of course he has commanding victories over Indians St (without Larry Bird) of course and Western Michigan. But a loss to perennial powerhouse the Ohio Bobcats.

I don't think it would be a bad hire at all. Yes, he failed in the NFL, but I don't think that rules him out. There's another coach we all know of who failed in the NFL...

Please. Fisher peaked and faded. He wasn't an awful coach....... he's faded in recent years. There's no use in denying it; his best years are behind him and his recent record shows it.

Texas a&m looked alot like the Steve McNair Titans and we have 3 running QB's next year if Maurer is still here. I could go with Fisher.
