Anyone who says they knew JJ was coming to UT before yesterday, at the earliest of midday, is a complete liar.

There were murmors early in the day, as I'd said I got a couple of calls early on, but didn't believe this would take plays.

The calls sped up, and later yesterday evening, I got a call saying he was a 100% go. To my knowledge, no one was on record at that point saying that he had officially changed his commitment.

My point is, anyone who said they thought he was headed to LSU had a reason to think so. There's no shame in missing on a kid, you say what you think and that's fine. No one should be held to the coals for stating a personal opinion and it being wrong. Mention it, let it go. It's understandable for someone who calls it "for sure" like I did, if I was wrong, but not for a guy just posting his opinion.

If that works... right after Bryce signs, I suggest we immediate start hawking 2010 recruit avatars to get a jump on this new recruiting tool.:p

What's there to explain?

Outside of JJ and the UT coaching staff, no one knew. Kiffin had told no one until about mid day there was a chance, and I know JJ's people didn't either.

The point of my post was defending Rex, or whoever people are slamming for saying they thought he was going to LSU.

Not like i get a prize or anything, but I got word yesterday afternoon (from a human...not from some website).

In fact, you might even see me with him (no doubt I'll be with him, but you might not be there to see us).

I think we better start planning for the future so i got Justin Maclin up right now. I may switch to Jake Heaps if necessary.

I looked over at ESPN Recruiting and they have us ranked #15 now.

You just got to know Monte has one heck of a smile on his face right now with the DB's and even the LB's we got. WOW!
